Cut my first red-head and Mom asked for a card! I just cut on the side, but that was cool! She was happy. So just know you're making an impact on many of us!

Is it not better to trim the hair to the desired length before fading? Or is it just personal preference?
Good question... personally, if it was a restyle I would do a block graduation first, just to establish your Shap and then go through and cut the top before fading...if the customer comes back a few weeks later for a freshen up then I think it would be okay to do the fade first ✌🏻 hope that helps ✌🏻

Do you sharpen you clippers yourself?
I usually sharpen only my liners my self 👍🏻 never my clippers. For my clippers I just replace the blade once the old one gets dull
