My apologies - since embarking on my Lachenmann odyssey a few weeks ago, I have discovered that Seth Brodsky is the number 1 authority (!) on Lachenmann and a firmly credentialed academic. Also, although his Allmusic reviews on Lachenmann are very intellectual and erudite they certainly suggests a man fully engaged!

Seth B does not seem very well prepared at all. Disappointed with the lack of empathy.
