    One more Q, What gear are you guys mostly at? and do you have to gear down approaching a curve?

    • @blizzthebike
      @blizzthebike Год назад +1

      I was in 2nd 3rd and 4th almost the entire time when I was out there on a SM450R.
      You always need to gear down before a corner, if you’re not then your corner entry speed is too low. Only a very few corners in the dragon where you elongate the gears, since your lean angle accompanied to the long stretch will make your RPMS plummet to then skyrocket.
      I’ve done this trail mostly on sport bikes lol but same sh**

      You can go faster than these guys, maybe not you but, a lot of us.
      The guy recording is being held up by the people up front; he’s a great rider.

    Is it necessary to stick a leg out while turning riding a Super Moto?

    • @Mercenary82

      no and tbh it might hurt a little if it grabs something if not break your leg or ankle

    • @DolanMoore
      @DolanMoore Год назад +4

      There’s no proper or improper way. Sticking out the leg is just a sign they grew up on dirt bikes. Being fast can be done in multiple ways, just don’t crash is the only real way.

    Is the point of this video to show how these riders so stupidly endangered the lives of others?

    • @blizzthebike

      who’s lives did they endanger? How are they stupid when they are operating a high skill machine?
      Is the point of your youtube account just to insult and degrade other people, do you have nothing better to do than hate?

    9:37 guy in front going way too fast for his skill level, he's been putting his foot down the entire video and is scared to death of using the front brake.

    • @DolanMoore
      @DolanMoore Год назад +1

      Not scared, I don’t think you’ve ever road a dirtbike sir. People slide the rear end all the time it’s part of the fun, But I will agree they are riding dangerous.

    • @Waldo1122
      @Waldo1122 Год назад

      @@DolanMoore Buddy that wasn't an intention slide he stomped on the rear brake and lost traction. There is absolutely nothing different about that dirtbike than your typical street bike as long as were talking about how to take a STREET curve.

    • @DolanMoore
      @DolanMoore Год назад

      @@Waldo1122 I agree it wasn’t intentional, it was a little slip up/ an unexpected turn and he was able to salvage it. But losing traction and using the rear break in general, along with sticking your leg out doesn’t mean he’s not in control or good at riding. He’s clearly riding in his skill level. When you ride that close and fast you have to be on it 100% every little slip up costs you and using what he knows he corrected himself…not scared to death…putting his foot down the whole video is part of riding haha. I guarantee you he’s not scared to use his front break. Yes they are two different bikes and they are on the street…but the dirtbike can be ridden differently inna lot of ways and it not be “incorrect” I use the rear break all the time to set up corners. It’s part of the style of riding a Supermoto. It’s just fun.

    • @Waldo1122
      @Waldo1122 Год назад +1

      @@DolanMoore The fact that he is crossing the double yellow, all over the white paint and yellow paint is proof that he is riding above his skill level, if a car was coming the other way speeding like they're doing then he'd be dead. Someone that knows what they're doing and is riding in their skill level NEVER crosses the center line.
      If he wasn't scared of the front brake then he'd use it to scrub speed before the corner so he doesn't need to cross the center line, but as you can see he doesn't use it.
      Putting your foot down does absolutely nothing, people do that when they think they're going to fall. If that foot skips on the concrete then he is done for.

    • @DolanMoore
      @DolanMoore Год назад

      @@Waldo1122 I agree again😂I never said he was a very intelligent rider…for some people they don’t care anything about the idea of staying in their lane….I’m just saying he knows what he’s doing…knows how to ride, not very smart but he’s able to. All it takes is one slip up and yeah, dead. 100% but uhh as far as the foot thing…again you probably have a streetbike/supersport only background…go watch any Supermoto racing series or track day…it’s a style/riders choice of riding…even if it’s a “oh shit moment” it’s a style and can be used for correction/take control of the bike…and or just a way of leaning the bike over. It’s called counter balancing and again it’s more prevalent in dirtbike riding and off-road but works for the Supermotos/dirt bikes on road
