Completely right about reform being controlled opposition. But anyone is in a way because the state own the pitch that politics is played upon. I think the risk from this election was none engagement by the electorate. My perception is that Reform are helping to engage people in the political system who otherwise may have not voted. A labour majority in an election where less than 40% of the public voted wouldn't function, hence the need for reform. All reform voters concerns will likely be chipped into the long grass with immediate effect because their votes are only needed to pad out the system as a whole
Exactly, Reform is all about getting the voter turnout percentage up, to a level where they can claim that the government has a legitimate right to rule over us.
NIGEL FARAGE & THE REFORM PARTY - YOUR SAVIOR? Probably not, but we haven't got alot of choices I'm afraid. A spoilt ballot means a slimy career Tory keeps their seat, a tactical vote means we get Liebour - I can't even vote REFORM even though I want to as it would be a wasted vote . . .
I’m voting Reform I’m sick of the three main party’s especially two of them who between them have destroyed this country.many are saying a vote for reform will let Labour in….. rubbish a vote for Tory will let them in.
Absolutely brilliant Nigel! 😁 You explained it all in a way that I totally get it. Thank you so much. I’m an Aussie, and voting is compulsory here; if you don’t vote you receive a fine if you don’t have a good reason for not voting. I’m going to look into getting my name taken off the register somehow.
My objection to voting is the photo ID. The last time I voted (spoilt ballot) was 2021, when we didn't need ID, and we're asked to cover our faces (we refused). Photo ID was introduced to combat voter fraud apparently, yet the massive voter fraud occurs with postal votes, which requires no ID. So this time, just as with the council and police commissioner rubbish, I won't be voting. I don't think refusing to take part, resulting in a low turnout, bothers them at all. The East Midlands Mayor (new government layer) got a pitifully low turnout, and the winner only got 13% of that, but the party has still gone ahead with celebrating an "amazing win". They don't care if no one votes, that's how they like it. That's why they bring in seemingly stupid rules.
I'm of exactly the same mind, in fact I do not have any photo id at all, like you the last time I turned out I also spoiled my ballot. These puppets have no legitimacy in my eyes. I don't agree with the east Midlands mayor at all, I see it as the stepping stone to a unitary council, which is just a way of diluting the debts.
@@leilayoung3830 but I would still be complying to their photo ID. I found a way around it but too late. Postal votes can be taken to the polling station on the day without ID.
Totally agree about Postal Voting being open to fraud, (mainly certain ethnicity), but I see no reason not to provide evidence of identity to vote. I have to provide Photo ID to use my bus pass, so what’s the problem? I’m sure the reluctance to tighten up on postal voting is because there would be a backlash from certain sections of the community. A couple of years ago I saw an invitation to a Labour planned meeting to discuss opposition to “Voter ID”. At the foot of the leaflet it said, “Please bring your membership card with you to the meeting!” The irony!

i can't vote for tories so I am voting for reform. Time will tell what happens it's anybody's guess really
Yes I agree
Farage denouncing the WEF! was enough for me to vote reform. And all that happens by mass none voting is a hung parliament 🙄🤡🌍
Yeah Trump said he was going to investigate Hillary and look what happened
Watch what they do, ignore what they say
Jesus Christ is the only savior! 🙏✝
He needs to hurry up. My part of London has already collapsed into Mogadishu.
Totally....people *think* they've been given a real choice...........sadly
NIGEL FARAGE & THE REFORM PARTY - YOUR SAVIOR? Probably not, but we haven't got alot of choices I'm afraid. A spoilt ballot means a slimy career Tory keeps their seat, a tactical vote means we get Liebour - I can't even vote REFORM even though I want to as it would be a wasted vote . . .
I’m voting Reform I’m sick of the three main party’s especially two of them who between them have destroyed this country.many are saying a vote for reform will let Labour in….. rubbish a vote for Tory will let them in.
Even the UN has explained it: if you vote, you consent to its dictats
You are correct. 😂Reform saying they are anti Putin so pro war. What’s the difference to every other party?
Bless you Nigel, your heart is very much in the right place.🙏🙏🙏
Thanks, Carol
Bang on Nigel ........some people have short memories, if they think farage is on their side
Sadly, I have reached the same conclusion. Will not be tainting myself by voting and getting involved emotionally.
Vote independent.
Vote Monster Raving Loony Party, but VOTE!
100% correct, Nigel. Don't trust Farage. The whole system of governance needs to go. Our money and compliance keeps them in place.
Apparently Richard tice is a friend of midalozam matt.
Might be an idea to write I do not consent to spoil the ballot.
You're spot on. I live near Clacton and questioned a local councillor as to the real reason behind Sunaks visit. He was very shifty in his reply. I then overheard free builders laughing about Farage becoming leader of Reform. This was just after Christmas. Farage will be like Melonie in Italy.

In Canada we have Pierre Poliviere as opposition leader in the Conservative party. He says things that people love to hear. What they don't understand is that it's all theater. I watched the UK elections yesterday and I thought Nigel Farage was the best of a bad lot. I won't vote in Canada. You're right, we need to run our own lives. Government is immoral. I'm learning.
Good that you are learning. Well done.
Couldn’t agree more Nigel 👍 try telling people that farage is a big club member, they just can’t see any further than their nose unfortunately ! I don’t own a tv or listen to the radio so I don’t have to endure the the Punch and Judy show ! My trust is in Jesus Christ .

Ireland has imported a whole new electorate mainly from the subcontinent but it's the mainstream parties trying to recruit them. Voter apathy especially for general elections seems so bad these new parties being added all the time might help them give the impression of more engagement
According to Andrew Bridgen, Matt Hancock and Richard Tice are best friends?

I'm from N.Ireland so politics here is all about being united to Ireland or UK.....My vote is going to a candidate who opposes murdering unborn babies. You possibly don't have this option in England?
Please vote. Many have lost their lives fighting for this right. I don't want to tell you which way to vote. I just want you to think about how broken this country is, how much more broken it will be under Labour. Reform UK policies are common sense. Make your own minds up.
The establishment use this line of argument a lot. It is drummed into kids at school.
Vote I do not consent.
Nigel - would you say a Vote for Reform UK let's the Establishment know that there is a core of people who are against what they represent?
Reform is the establishment.
Also when Sunak called the election, Farage said he was going to America to support Trump's campaign and didn't sound like he wanted any involvement in our election.
I suspect Nigel had to ask himself, “Do I really want all the crap that comes with leading a political party when I’m enjoying life as I am?”
Only when people told him what they thought of his decision did he change his mind.
Oh he was a savil protector wasnt he...
When did 'this' become God to so many? If you don't 'cast', you forsake the lord, and it's your fault the wrong ones are rule upon us all! Check your gods...

I get you with the big club. I really do. However, maybe the Tories and Sunak are given too much credit and the truth really is that they are just incompetent and shit. 😐
Does competency even enter the equation 🤣
You rant but offer no alternative to voting other than staying away, which ain’t going to happen. Khan got in on 17% of the vote, so that did a lot of good for the non voters. Barring violent revolution the best alternative is show disdain for the major players.

I love listening to what you have to say. I often feel like I'm reasonably awake, and totally awake when compared to all family and friends. . This video has made me feel very naive, as I can see what your saying is probably spot on in reality. I m just torn between the crap situation the uk is in, and physically standing by and not doing anything to try and change its course. I can personally choose not to wear a face cloth, and not have the arm spear, ( as it stands at the moment ) and anything else my morals will not allow, but to not vote at all feels to me as I don't care what the result is either way. Then I cannot complain afterwards ,with the result. The vast majority of people are " sheep " and will act exactly how they are programmed to do so. I just want to do the right thing, but that choice just doesn't seem to exist so we are doomed if we do and doomed if we dont.
Omg well said and I agree
I certainly didn't go a long with the lockdown mask wearing

There is no other real alternative at the moment. Reform at least allow the public to step away from typical choices. It opens minds ro other ways of governance.
