Ive seen the C17 at a few airshows, its takeoff and landing distance is actually extremely small for its size and weight but like the C130 its meant for short takeoff and landings

For the C10 it was simulating that you were having the winds broken by the mountain and therefore you have to adjust flaps and you have to adjust throttle and then you have to land it with basically a tail strike damn near
