Best part about your show is getting to learn more about you and the crew. I try not to monopolize anyone's time when I visit the shop, but it is the crew that makes the store. Can't say enough that people make the difference. Seeing your time at the show and the bts is great. Thank you for this.
Totally agree. I tend to frequent shops with good people. Even if they don't always have what I'm looking for. It just makes the whole collecting experience much more enjoyable.
I used to run a stall at the 3 day memorabilia NEC UK and trade shows , I dont think I sat down or slept for every time we done a show . But I absolutely loved it , the buzz on Friday night was electric with traders buying and selling, watching this brings back memories . Thank you
High production values, eclectic people, awesome hosts, fantastic items, and its the real deal for all us of who collect. Love you guys! Love each release you do. ❤Especially anything GI Joe ARAH!! Never heard of Legion figures until now but yeah, definitely see why you want to partner and carry their production. Absolutely amazing figure line!!
Definitely more conventions because until now I never realized and hopefully others will see to how much work goes into setting up to sell them taking it all down to bring what doesn't sell back. Plus the careful packing of every item to get it there and back. No jokes thanks for this video and seeing Pixel Dan is always a plus in my opinion.
Super episode. Great seeing other collectors who are comfortable on screen and have a ton of knowledge and passion for stuff. Probably best episode I've watched so far.
@@toyfederation lol that's taking into account all your episodes are of a high calibre anyway. But I like community crossover in RUclips. I was directed here by Froggy when he gave yous a shout out. But with froggy when he goes to a show you see a buyers perspective. Today a saw a seller and other sellers.
This is hilarious to me. Having recently discovered your channel and being half awake watching this episode, it donned on me that I passed through your booth a couple of times when I came Friday opening night for Toylanta. I woke my wife up to point it out and that I spoke to some of the vendors there.
@@toyfederation There was the Four Horsemen Headless Horsemen I was looking at fairly intently. But I ended up getting a MOTU Classics Catra from Pixel Dan. Because she looks like the missus. I don’t really collect vintage stuff anymore. Mostly third party Transformers and Super7 Ultimates. Which I didn’t see any there. But I’m looking forward to Power Con in August.
@@toyfederation Well if you guys do end up going I’ll definitely stop by. It’ll be my first time attending that show. So I’m hoping for a good first impression.
Saw this yesterday at work. Here at work again rewatching. But YEEESSSSS!!!! This is how you should film your convention. I hope this was a prelude to that. I'm pretty sure you'll be busy. But I really would like to see that done in multiple episodes. It has never been done before. Not from behind the scenes. Sure, we see collector's, sellers, and attendees' perspective. But not from the promoters and ones who actual set up the conventions. I'm telling you. It'll spread like wildfire. Everybody will be sharing and recommending the videos and your channel. Like I said in the Buffy video. When you make deals to buy collections and offer trades or cash. You never low ball. And in this video that deal was perfect, and it made sense. It's worth the $675 you paid because your intentions aren't for resale value. It's for your own personal collection. I can tell the seller you bought that piece from knew he didn't want to lose the deal. I'm pretty sure that deal was his biggest all weekend during that event. If he didn't try to meet you somewhere on the price especially knowing you were very interested. It might have been another year or more before he gets another collector interested. Which also brings me to a point where you mentioned in the video where you were buying partial of a sellers GI Joe collection that was his friends. Where he was saying that all these loose pieces, cloths, and weapons for the 12-inch line were worth a specific high price, and you told him that may have been "x" number of years ago but the collector generation for those toys from that era aren't around as much or don't collect anymore. So, the value goes down. Unless there's an upsurge in demand from collectors that are from the 80s to current. That right there blew me away. I have never ever considered that. Great video.
Best convention video ever! Thats what we want to see. Usually these youtubers drag their camera around bumping into people to show some of the same old toys.. this is killer behind the scenes stuff. Who does your camera work? It's really good stuff. Bravo!
@@toyfederation im just finding toy collecting more interesting! ive been a video game collector in the past. but not too into vintage toys etc. but channels like yours .. are entertaining! an you are very knowledgable about many different lines of toys. and about weapons and hard to find pieces.

Always awesome to learn where the names for things come from. Especially when it originates from collectors and fandom or some random print ad (decepticon seekers).
@@toyfederation I probably wouldn't have, but mostly because I'm not a collector. I tend to think like Indiana Jones, pieces like that belong in a museum. That's really what I like most about your show, in a way, by putting up the content you do, you are in essence creating a digital museum where people get the history of the piece and you get to see it. Each show is a snapshot in time, "here we have unearthed the tomb of Savage Wonder He-man. Look at all the artifacts he was buried with..." I love it!
