Hey John, with a panic button for an alarm system do you recommend having it as a silent alarm so you can hear where a possible intruder is located or audible to serve as a warning to the intruder and family?
Extra mag? 1 mag is great if you only have1 intruder, but who knows what you may encounter. My thinking is you always need a firearm that carries at least 15 rounds and one extra mag! Great video. This has been a great series Mr. Warrior Poet.
(Ring ring) “honey I didn’t know you were going to be home today so I gave the plumber the house key. Probably instead of using a sound alarm, you'd want a vibration and/or light alarm. Vibration could work through bass speakers. You'd feel it. Light alarm would start flashing. The problem is if you are sleeping, then you need really bright lights. But they could be too powerful & blind you. So my impression is that using vibration + noticable but not super powerful light flashes could be a good step. What do you think?
Is there a possibility for a part 5, dealing with the after action suggestions. Items such as medical care for bad guy, interactions with law enforcement, healthy ways to deal with the various emotions after a deadly force encounter, Etc.
Edward Cox: I agree the Warrior Poet is not done until he covers the points you mentioned. And the interaction with lax enforcement is right up the sponsors alley.

It's a great idea to have a secret code word or phrase too, triggering a series of actions with just one word. Like anything else it requires planning and rehearsal to be effective. If I'm unaware of something bad going down but my wife sees it coming, she can yell out our code word and a series of preplanned actions immediately take place without wasting time and asking questions like "what's going on?". We also have a code phrase for telephone use only if one of us needs immediate help from a life-threatening situation...no questions asked and our emergency plan activates immediately.
It’s from Colders we configured it with 2 “cuddle corners” I have the sheet with the name of it, I’ll look it up and let you know which exact one it is :)

(Ring ring) “honey I didn’t know you were going to be home today so I gave the plumber the house key. Did he arrive yet?” “Yes he did.....” 😬
I’m so cautious about a family member or a friend coming home that I feel I’d have to say something before just shooting, “who’s there?!” “Get out of my house.” “Identify yourself.” Something. Ymmv
Polite people knock/ring the door bell.
ever seen the movie hush!? Warrior Poet, can you do a break down of how the Hearing impaired would defend themselves in a situation like that? lol
Thanks for the series. I learned so much. Thanks again.
EDWARD COX medical care for bad guy is to wait.... 15 min. Your word against a dead man is much better than your word against his.
Nice little series, John. Fun to watch. Heading to CCW class this morning. 👍
Just watched your series of video''s. I thought I had things pretty secure around my house but now I see I need to do a few more things. Thank You
Alec Steele playing in the background lol favorite blacksmith on youtube
Hi John, I just got through this series. Great stuff! I was wondering though, if you have any videos on home defense for someone who lives in an apartment/multi-family building. Or, if not, if you would be willing to make one as I'm sure there are many other things to consider. Thanks!
I've got a solid counter ambush point 1 but I need to work on position two.
3:26 the bad guy slipped them plans off the counter and John didn’t even see it. Lol.
Am I the only one who loves this couple's house?? I want that couch.
Challengerer108 Thanks, we worked very hard on the renovations.
@@mary-kathrynnourse7697 it looks great! Where'd u get that couch?
It’s from Colders we configured it with 2 “cuddle corners” I have the sheet with the name of it, I’ll look it up and let you know which exact one it is :)
This is really great stuff. God bless from Western Australia.
Are you allowed to own a firearm?
@@TheMoonIsAConspiracyTheory .Yes we are. Heaps of red tape (maybe a 3 month effort) involved for Aussies but you can do it for bolt action, lever action & break action firearms. With an insane amount of red tape (maybe a 24 month effort) semi-auto rimfire rifles & semi-auto centrefire rifles & semi-auto shotguns & pump action shotguns are also attainable in most states & territories of Australia.
@@malcolmnaylor8381 Damn. I'm here in Canada. Took me ~7-8 months to complete the whole process from doing the courses to receiving my license. At least that allows me to buy actual guns.
Australia is even worse though, eh.. Sad man, sad. Plus with these self-defense laws...
@@TheMoonIsAConspiracyTheory Wow. Interesting. Yes in Australia for the private citizen at least, self defense is not a legally good enough reason to own a firearm.
Awesome video! Thank you and please keep them rolling!
Hey just gotta say, I LOVE that you were forcing them to watch @AlecSteele and his project with you LOL. Probably added to that "worst case scenario you were talking about.... now that they are dead they will never see what that press did to that piece of wood.
WPS on the TV was a power move. I see you boss.
Dogs! My favorite option for perimeter and internal early warning. Electronics wont help if the grid goes down for more than a few days if at all.
Lots of things I need to work on thank you for the insights
Great series John. Well done
5:16 - I would have put my phone in my pocket, not set it down. Otherwise, this is super cool stuff. Thanks John! Cheers, C.
Agree. Keep your communication device with you
Good job John
Watching , Alec Steele on the TV !!!!!!!!! Another awesome episode Warrior Poet
I would have a mirror on each side of the TV so you can see behind you while watching TV, it's also good Feng Shui energy.
Some serious James Bond, or Chris Everson, kind of stuff there, and yes definitely Feng Shui compatible.
Great stuff John!
Thank you for taking the time and effort to post up this video series.
Keep yourself safe!
Randy
Need to have door jam plates on your entry doors, so Mr. Criminal can’t get in that quickly. The sound you’re looking for is:
Kick-“Oh f*ck! My knee!”
Wish I could enroll for USCCA again. I’m a WA resident... Feeling pretty insecure without my carry insurance...
What you need is big dogs. They seem to know ahead if something is not right and will bark as a early warning. Reason military uses them.
What is a recommended home security system? Ring? SimpliSafe? Arlo? It seems that these are some of the most widely used on the market, and likely the easiest to use.
Amazing series of videos.
You are crushing it John! Keep up the great work!
My doors are always locked. Great stuff👍
Great series. Learned alot and will be implementing more stuff in my own home. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! This is a great video! Super good example
More series like this please!!!!
MrJohn, would that have been a justified shot on her end? Thank you for our time.
Thank you, this is good information.
This series has been so great. Thank you.
