It's unrelated, but I have a story about pets named Max. My next door neighbour has a cat, which is friends with my cat. After a few months of the cat hanging around our house, we found out that he belongs to the neighbours. We gave him our own name, Max, and just assumed he just responded to the sound instead of the name. Today I spoke to the neighbour and asked what his name was, and it's name is Maxie, but they usually just call him Max. I don't know how this happened but it's amazing.
