Amaaaazzzing , Nick!!! Thankyoooou so so so much!!! This was really a great video ☺️❤️ I can listen to it again and again. The last part where you talk about guilt and Shame.. That's so true!! And yes I have the same suffering that you talked about "body image sensation" Bodybuilding trying to look certain way and if I don't I can't accept myself.
Hey Nick, you made a brief comment about unconditional life acceptance vs self acceptance. Can you talk about some of your growth with that? In dealing sensorimotor that is the biggest issue for me.
Hi Nick, great video! Since one of your main OCD themes was sensorimotor, I wanted to ask you if you could give me some advice on what to do. My main themes were , and still are ( i think) Existencial OCD and hyperawareness of thoughts, what happens is that in the last couple of days, mainly yesterday, there were 2 separate ocasions on the day that I kind of started to be hyperaware about my blinking, and at the moment I was very surprised because, sensorimotor had never been a theme in my whole journey. And now I don't know what yo do, i still haven't pressed the "panic button", but i must admit that I'm starting to be a little worried if this evolves to something more. And also, today I could feel the presence of that sensation of hyperawareness, lingering in the back of my head throughout the day, not actively engaged , but I could feel and recognise that I'm starting to be fearful of sensorimotor as a whole. Maybe even more than existencial (wich I though was one , if not the worst type of OCD.)
Hey Andre. Terrific question - So the best thing you can do for yourself, which isn't easy, is allow it to latch if needed. Once it latches, let's just say it does, then you handle it accordingly. OCD recovery, well the journey, is a willingness to experience any and all sensation/ thoughts/ images/ urges - It's very understandable that your mind is starting to panic as this is something new, but the best thing you can do for now is allow it to latch if needed.
Hey Andre I have this too. My biggest fear is my own thoughts and awareness/consciousness. Nice to hear I’m not alone :( They talk about dealing with the core fear a lot but I don’t really understand what they mean by that. You’re not alone
you are the best therapist nick.
Nick - you're an all-star! Thank you for this video - it is so valuable!

Absolutely! Just wrote it down on the list.
Mine is that my breathing is weird or air is stuck in throat
Absolutely! We can definitely help you get under that fear - I had those ones quite bad at times.
