Wonderful young people! They were informative big smiles! Great movie, comfortable seating. Everything was nice and clean. My first time to a Hawkins theatre. I will come again for sure.

Aim to be there in winter this year...
    I did enjoy the series...
Now that it has stopped altogether you can perhaps begin anew...
    Alas...
Not the same as eighteen years ago...but is that not the same for all...

Many villages in Cornwall are dead in the in winter because they are full of second homes, holiday lets and AirB&B.

I don't think the reason why there are only two fishermen instead of more with 15 boats is rooted in a TV show. The world changed a lot in the last 15 or 20 years. You can NOT blame Doc Martin for that. You can't apply the same way of doing business as you did in the 80's or 90's. And this is not just for Port Issac. It's applicable to the rest of the world.
Actually, I guess that people or businesses in that town are making much more money than before the show became a success.

Went there this weekend.....last time we visited was 24 years ago....what a difference honestly such a shame.....
We couldn't believe how many of them houses are 2nd homes and holiday lets.....think its disgusting....even some of the locals we were talking to said its dead in the winter......talk about the 2nd homes killing a village..yet again..
The history is just being destroyed.....that's what money does for you.

Another village wrecked by over tourism as well a being wrecked by exposure on a TV show.
