So I have a story: I recently purged all of the people I follow on RUclips to just the things I like. Which is mostly art. And I had this video in my feed before I went to sleep but while I was still watching another video. But of course I was exhausted and then woke up so excited only to find my feed rebooted. I cannot tell you how disappointing it was, I just spent a full half hour searching high and low because I knew I’d recognize the channel name even though I couldn’t directly remember because the channel is new to me but the art so SO PRETTYYYYY. Well I finally found it and I’m very happy to watch the rest of your videos! ❤❤❤

Posca does make brush markers (or they did, I haven’t looked recently), but they aren’t a foam tip, they’re “real” brush markers. As in they have individual bristles and you push a button at the end of the pen to make the ink flow. I only have the black and white versions, but they were great for covering larger areas.
Oh wow thanks for sharing! 😊 Posca brush markers sound interesting, especially with individual bristles! I'll look into them!
Posca do come in a brush tip style, just FYI.
And be careful with getting any art supplies based on if they look "Fancy" or "Professional" on the surface!!..... Because that can lead you to some very poor quality art supplies!!??!!
In other words packaging can be used to trick people as much as it can be used to match the quality of said art supplies!!
I loooove these markers! They are so much better than Posca and don’t tear up the paper!

Aren’t Poscas more for glass wood etc use?
@@BiteSizedCrafterall their marketing materials say “use on any surface” and specifically call out paper as one material they can be used on.
Really? They dont tear up oaper? Even with many layers? I want to get them but this is my only concern..
@zaeerinko1787 no. They don't rip paper. Obviously don't use them rough but they handle so well!

loved the video! I'm thinking about buying these markers, I just don't know which one to get, the 30a or the 30b, because of the skin tones, could you tell me what number of markers you used on the skin in the drawings?
I have the Karin acrylic brush markers. They look similar, but I have to say if you don’t use them in a while they don’t work well. And they’re expensive. 😢

Omg! The drawing came out amazing like always! Love the vibrancy of the markers! And the character design is super cute! I really love how you colored the skin!!!!!!! What a nice use of colors! I would love to try these! May I ask if Arrtx reached out to you to give you the markers to try or did you reached out to them? I did that with Ohuhu and I would love to try and collab with more art brands!
Also for Mermay, I'm excited to see what you'll draw up! I don't plan on doing a mermaid every day but I do want to at least draw Mermaid Misty or even Ariel (both animated and live action version) for Mermay. I never participated before but I have draw other things so I can't do it every day. 😭

I'm just short of halfway through the video, but I'm so glad someone has brought up the sticker situation! I'm not the biggest fan of having to do that and would also worry that I would put the wrong label on the wrong pen or something lol! Did they come in the correct order in the box as they were on the sticker sheet?
EDIT: Finished the video and OMG your art is so cute and it turned out so great!

Me: Arrtx, why are your acrylic markers so much more expensive even tho they are the same quality as all the cheaper ones on A-zon? I mean, there is even one set of markers that has an identical barrel and brush as yours (just in black).

I got acrylic brushes recently and they got here today. I can't wait to try!
They are cheaper ones, but that'll do for now. haha
P.S.: Clothes are very unpractical underwater.
What's more unpractical than a half fish half human... clothes underwater lol.
@@LucidNeema Yes, because a half fish half human is a very good swimmer. And they are able to use tools and weapons, so they don't need to be super fast or anything. Humans aren't super fast either. And we rule the world.
but try to go into the water with clothes on... and see how well you gonna swim then. ^^

@@LucidNeema Okay, lets say the top is not made of cotton or regular surface fabrics, but underwater fabrics instead. So its water resistant and doesnt soak. Sound good? 😊
There's another brand of brush acrylic markers called Karin but they're super expensive so this is a good alternative I think
I have seen this character recently on One peice. This is a nice rendition of her. Looks like it is easier to fix mistakes using acrylic. 🤗❤️👍🏽💯

Posca actually has brush markers but I think they were discontinued (?) and only available in like a couple colours.
BUT there are acrylic brush markers out there and those are the karin decobrush markers and they come in so many pretty colours definitely recommend!
I also wanna say I love the way you shaded this drawing! Its very soft and cute
