When I hear this, I feel like I'm off in the woods somewhere. I love songs that make you feel like your in your own little world, thats what I get with this one.
Funny, no one mentions that Paul has issues with riding on planes(interviews), resulting in having to take Valium. Which is why I believe he takes it in those cases. Anyway, great song!
Thanks for the upload! They don't have this song on Spotify, so really glad I can listen to it on YT at least. One of MUTEMATH's best, if I do say so myself.
In a project for the Hunger Games we had to handpick a soundtrack to go with it. I used this song to describe Katniss's experience at the reaping and how surreal the whole experience felt. Needless to say, I got a 100 on it :D
Nope they arent. I have an interview From Paul about the Armistice album. He made the song because he found a stray dog near a hotel, Covered in "spurs". Him and his wife bought the dog into their hotel room, And since the dog was in so much pain they gave him some Valium... It helped and they brought the puppy to the vet after.
@stalepigeon I agree. I was put on powerful painkillers when I had 3 wisdom teeth taken out years ago, I can't remember which ones they were, but it's not uncommon for people to have prescribed drugs like that. It doesn't mean you're a druggie or anything crazy like that.
I am probably wrong but I think this was for a cat. Benzos like valium are not pain killers. They are anticonvulsants. But mostly are prescribed to relax.
@charliehively why wonder? alot of people take valium to either calm them down or help them sleep. You know you dont have to be a wreck head to take or consider taking it.
Both are incredible, buth Mutemath has an inedit style, and some fresh-air songs that I've never listen in any coldplay album...Coldplay got some magic, but mutemath is more creative!
lol...WAIT "And since the dog was in so much pain they gave him some Valium"...why did they happen to have some Valium just laying around? lol...not that it matters, it's personal, maybe for anxiety...and second - valium doesnt help dog's with pain, it's just a muscle relaxant/anti-anxiety. has no anti-pain properties other than preventing pain from muscles that spasm and stuff like that....but their heart was in the right place! i am listening to more Mute math songs and i like them.
@Biggestmutemathfan You wouldn't happen to have a link to the interview would you? There are lots of general interviews with Paul, but I can't seem to find any that talk about individual songs specifically. I know YT doesn't allow link-posting, but if you could message it to me I would be really, really grateful. :)
odd thing to write a song about, and I don't really see the connection between the story and the lyrics. And you gotta wonder why he had Valium in the first place to give to the dog
That's not setting the bar very high, dear. Coldplay floats in the same proverbial toilet as Nickelback. Mutemath is better than Tool. That'll upset some people who have a concept of musical theory.

My long-distance gf sent me this like 7 years ago, she's sitting next to me now listening to this C:
Dear Biggestmutemathfan:
Your name is up to debate, but I thank you for posting these awesome bonus tracks!
I appreciate MuteMath musically so much.
This is Mutemath's best song in my opinion
Love this! It's THE only reason why I would buy the 90210 soundtrack.
This song is almost hypnotic, calms me down in a peculiar way, I love it.
It's true to it's title isn't it? :D
This is wonderful to listen to driving through though the mountains windows down...
I WANNA FLY TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!
One of my favorite Mutemath songs.
I love this song
i listen to it almost everyday
sounds as though the song is about empathy and encouragement. good tune and ideas to sing about :)
nice song, I've loved Mute Math for a while.
Funny, no one mentions that Paul has issues with riding on planes(interviews), resulting in having to take Valium. Which is why I believe he takes it in those cases.
Anyway, great song!
@JustSmileZMM
I wouldnt be able to live without either of em. :)
Favorite mutemath song ❤

There's something different about it.. it's on a whole 'nother level. Almost ethereal...
I wish this song was more easily aces sable on iTunes
@JustSmileZMM hell yea!!!!

I LOVE MUTEMATH, BUT HATE HOW PEOPLE DONT EVEN KNOW WHO THEY ARE , :(
@stalepigeon I agree. I was put on powerful painkillers when I had 3 wisdom teeth taken out years ago, I can't remember which ones they were, but it's not uncommon for people to have prescribed drugs like that. It doesn't mean you're a druggie or anything crazy like that.

Chill
from the Cd not itunes. I bought it off Ebay, Same with reset
@Umy1332 I wasn't giving judgment, I was moreso surprised considering the band's semi-religious affiliation.
This song is awesome! What album is this from?
@charliehively why wonder? alot of people take valium to either calm them down or help them sleep. You know you dont have to be a wreck head to take or consider taking it.
@Biggestmutemathfan i feel like the song is from the dog's perspective on valium
gotta wonder if this song is about using valium.... didn't think Mute Math was really into drugs.
yo, send me valium and the alt. without it
and do you have an audio for fight?
Both are incredible, buth Mutemath has an inedit style, and some fresh-air songs that I've never listen in any coldplay album...Coldplay got some magic, but mutemath is more creative!
Bill burr brought me here.
Is there any way you can send me this song. Cause I can't find it :/
Acessable*

@JustSmileZMM Just different
Bonus track from Armistice? How?

By "spurs" do you mean porcupine quills?
@Biggestmutemathfan
Ooo, can you send me Without It?
@Biggestmutemathfan
maybe his wife had an eye injury ??
Stop comparing bands. They don't like to see their fans fight
dude, i don't know how to message you.
aha I'm not so youtube savvy.
@charliehively Oh gawd, let's act like none of us have ever touched any kind of drug.
Did someone change the audio here? No longer the song Valium....
odd thing to write a song about, and I don't really see the connection between the story and the lyrics. And you gotta wonder why he had Valium in the first place to give to the dog
Hey, you have Fight? Can you send it to me?
@maggie2276 thats the part that sucks!!!!
That's not setting the bar very high, dear.
Coldplay floats in the same proverbial toilet as Nickelback.
Mutemath is better than Tool. That'll upset some people who have a concept of musical theory.
listen coldplay's the scientist and then talk. this is good but this cannot be compared to coldplay. Coldplay is way better...
Whos comparing? They can be different yet equala
