I would suggest "Not some fairytale" Music video or "Slow motion" live from Kalandra for your next reaction to them. They are fantastic. So underrated as a Band ❤❤❤
I was thinking of suggesting this, and I'm so glad you did it already. I find it deeply moving. I always remember the comment someone made on the video about trying to push their mother back to the shore, after she admitted she wants to commit suicide. Another vote for Kalandra's cover of Helvegen - a song easing the passing to the next world.
I wasn't lying about Borders was I? 'Haunting' about sums it up. I see this song as a love letter to nature and the unforgiving ocean. 'And she can't love you the way you love her'. So true! Another interesting line earlier in the song-' 'She sings me songs of ungrateful souls who once thought Gods would bring them home'. I kinda think that might be referring to the old viking practice of sending their dead kings out to sea in burning longboats.
