    I used to think these types of videos were bunk..... Than I watched one to do my water pump on a 2010 Traverse. Out of ALL the other "how to's" the one from this channel was the BEST by far!!! Thanks.😎😎😎

    Absolute best how to video I’ve seen. Gave me the confidence to do it myself and the instructions did not miss anything. Thank you so much.

    I bought all 4 mounts from 1AAuto, and with the help of these videos replaced all 4 in less than 3 hours. I am not a mechanic and have never done this type of job before. I did it in my drive with jack stands and hydraulic floor jacks. I will say that I started with the passenger side mount, and once I had the engine raised and the cross member/cradle lowered for this mount, I was able to remove the front mount without having to remove the bracket, and was able to move right over to the transmission mount before dropping the engine.

    I’m so happy I found your videos. It’s so clear and concise how you explain the process. I just replaced the starter on my 2011 traverse and now I’m going to change this part. Your videos helped me so much and also saved me some money. I appreciate you and your team!!!! Thanks

    Thanks for the video. Fixed the “clunk” at acceleration and shifting gears. Still a small rattle over bumps but I’m sure it’s the lower control arm bushings, that’s next.

    Is it common practice to replace all the motor mounts at the same time of this is the only one that is bad?

  • @Aspen5.7

    I am going to replace all of the motor mounts on my 2012 Enclave. Would it be easier to raise the engine for the lower mount replacement IF I removed the torque strut mount first (and did not install the new torque strut until the end). It just seems to me that the engine would raise up easier if the torque strut was not there. I am not a mechanic, but see others having a difficult time raising up the engine. Thanks.

    I know this was a couple of years ago, but I wanted to ask if the motor mount is supposed to wiggle? Or if it's supposed to have some type of movement?

      +@HowToDoitright This procedure might be different for your application. We do not currently have a how-to video for this particular year, make and model. Thank you for asking! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ

      Depending on the age of the vehicle and how long the one you know of has been bad. Once one goes the rest see more abuse. For example in my 2011 I have some rather worn torque struts in the front top, good and easy to replace and on the passenger side UNDER the engine is the primary mount. I was gonna just replace those and check that one while I'm already out there working on it but knowing their condition and the fact it's 11 years old I think I'm going to swap them all out and be done with it.

      +T K We wouldn't be able to diagnose an issue like that here, you may want to have a local mechanic take a look at it. Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c

    how do you know that mount is bad what symptoms do you have

    • @MidnightMarrow
      @MidnightMarrow 2 года назад +1

      Excessive engine movement. Can either look at it while someone shifts from reverse to drive or if you're in the vehicle with fans n such turned off, sometimes you can hear the noise from it rocking back and forth while you shift. Could be more of a clunk or a creaking sound as the gear engages and the engine receives the resistance.
