Tekken 8 isn’t too far off anymore with a release date set in late January 2024. It won’t be long before we’re throwing haymakers in Bandai Namco’s latest King of Iron Fists arena. Short of being able to play every remaining character we’ve seen in the full roster and try out some other tertiary features, many of us assumed we’d just be waiting till launch day. To my surprise, Bandai Namco invited Shacknews out alongside others for one more chance to see what the Tekken 8 team has been cooking up. I was delighted to find the whole starting roster open to us, but we also got a shot at Tekken Ball, the game’s main story mode, and a new player-focused Arcade Quest story mode.

I’m glad they got the voice actors to record some new lines. Up until this point they kept on reusing sound clips from Tekken 4 which came out in 2001.

thats just not true every game since tekken 4 has had new hit sounds and new voice lines recorded for certain moves, look at lee for example his voice has changed in every game, and kazuya has different electric voice lines and sound effects as well as grunts, same goes for other characters@@songoku9348
@@songoku9348 Exactly. After Tekken 5 I was so over the old voice lines.
I'm fine with them changing the other voice lines I just wish they kept the DAH!

We only had a limited time to play, some people did capture more of the story. We were more focused.
I’m glad we don’t get to see more. Don’t want the plot spoiled weeks before the full game comes out. For now I’ll enjoy this gameplay.

One button electrics have no place in this game. This is absurd.
It's all good. using special style gives you only one juggle combo, not high damaging stuff.
It's either learn the EWGF and do big dmg, or this.
@@liv3vilkei409no, you can turn special mode on and off mid game so you can switch to it, press electric button, then switch back to do the combo. Basically making a perfect electric r1, 2, r1 or 2, r1 if you’re already in special mode. Which is way easier than the current or previous inputs….

It was in T7 too, also it's not effective when it's not on your control cuz it does combos automatic, so it's easy for opponent to counter it.
