We should normalize unfollowing someone simply because you don't like their content . Its OK, it's nothing personal....

As a content creator, I also rather that someone unfollows me rather than stay and ruin my engagement. Win win 😊
I agree with building relationships. I've started to use the collaboration posts and my followers went up alot. I have more non-followers looking at my stuff, but the model had stronger follower engagement. Combined I made a huge follower net.

It needs the right audience to appreciate. It is not so straight forward in Instagram.
What do you do if your account gets hit with strikes and is no longer eligible for “content to be recommended”? Can you still grow when your account status is in the orange from removed content?
Today i got limited of commenting on posts just cuz Instagram wanted to limit me. The reason? There's no reason. They said it was to protect the community

@@JoshRyan I didn’t. I was just genuinly commenting on some accounts with a simple and engaging comment. Idk what happened so i guess after they stop with this restriction imma just answer comments on my posts cuz it’s really weird
Happened once with me too, i got into the flow and engaged for around an hour leaving genuine comments and then ig restricted me commenting for sometime. They may have developed this type of feature to You know spot bots and scammers who spread misinfo

If my Instagram account is deleted my posts and information will be deleted!! But they can’t preview it right if the comments get reported while someone’s profile Instagram is deleted! Right?

That was true at the time, bro, but they changed/updated the algo again. Stop downing other creators to make yourself seem more knowledgeable. They are just trying to help. Regardless of how good your content is at the time if they decide to experiment or go in another direction, it can lower your reach. IG is a business. They do what is best for the business creators are sometimes collateral damage. Focus on social media as a whole not just IG. Post your content to other platforms. If that same content does well on another platform the problem probably isn't your content.

It's not true man, he just said it to get attention. You really think instagram are going to create an algorithm that incentivises people to spend less time on the platform and push content that is not as good? There was zero evidence of this being true, no case study or data to back it up.
Sometimes content can perform well on one platform but not another. For multiple reasons, tiktok is different to Instagram, which is different to Linkedin, which is different to RUclips. So the exact same content won't always go viral on all. It also depends on your audience size, levels of engagement, performance of previous content and sometimes a bit of luck. Whether you turned your phone upside down and left it on the kitchen bench after you posted has never been something that determines the success of your content

IG runs thousands of experiments to try and keep people on their app. You are crazy to believe that this couldn't be one of them. To those that experienced this, I believe you and if it didn't work for you it's because weren't in the sample size that the change was sent to. To tell those of us that this happened to we are imagining things is wrong, buddy. Moreover, we all know the success of your content depends on the variables that you listed, however, if your content performs best on 2 out of 3 platforms or 3 out of 5 platforms with IG continuously being the low-performing platform your time is best spent on the other platforms. Instagram isn't the god of creators and let's not pretend that they haven't done messed up things in the past. If their algorithm is never the issue why do they change them so much? Focus on social media as a whole and do what is best for you, your business, and your audience. Try to remain humble, my bro. You might need the people that you are throwing slights at one day.

10k theme page came back after a year and getting from 200+likes to 5.. tryn to revive after a month and still only getting ftx bots following. Instagram is dead
