Dan's classical game knowledge really comes in handy for these sorts of games. He really knows how to spot the pixels that are important and solutions to puzzles.
Damn I want to see more Dan solo Sierra games or maybe Monkey Island or something. Or he could bring Arin because I liked the Space Quest they did together. Dan is chill vibes but Arin does have some epic voices 🤣

I'm confused about it actually, because while I haven't caught up on the Patreon videos in a few days, I've seen a few of their unboxing videos, but not the one heard here. Either these episodes are way out of order, or the other unboxing videos were not during Grump sessions.
This makes me think that "Faith" would be fun for Ghoul Grumps.
Looking forward to watching this totally chill game where Lily is feeling well. :)

Arin getting hit in the road is a perfect example of how he can be so shocked by something that was not only obvious common sense, but even repeatedly expressed to pose a danger to the player 😂
there's a death hint that tells you that you know you've found the true ending when the credits play. but the number doesn't work unless you get every death. so you did actually miss the true ending

@@1BlueRozez1 Honestly, I preferred Manlybadasshero's playthrough. His didn't have a Patreon shill over broken glass noises in the middle of it. 😑🙄 Though I liked the constant back and forth with Dan and Arin in this playthrough, as always, up until the Patreon break, and past it.
@@sunnywhite196 I agree. The Patreon break really messes up the flow of the show and I can’t see what’s happening, so it’s not worth putting it in the episode itself. I dislike these.
@@EStramel09 I've seen other RUclipsrs put them in the middle of the episodes. It annoys me. Slap that crap onto the beginning if you're worried that it won't be seen! Also, don't take half of the episode runtime to shill so you pad the episode. Game Grumps didn't do that one, but there's at least one or two RUclipsrs that I watch that have started doing that.

It's amazing how they guessed stuff at the beginning, but then missed all the hints that they were on the money throughout.

For anyone wondering, the true ending is…
Actually a truly HAPPY ending! I know, I couldn’t believe it either. I had to look it up after watching this, and since I hate stupid depressing endings, I was tickled pink. I recommend you look it up too - unless you really want to watch a little girl die in a dozen ways so that you can have the satisfaction of reaching the ending yourself. But there are plenty of ways to feel satisfied without wasting an hour of your time and a shard of your precious innocence. Love you. Mwah.
Thank you for mentioning this. Honestly, I was pretty worked up about poor Lily by the end of this video, and I think it's nice (maybe?) that the designer included a solid happy ending. Just...not much fun getting there...frickin' Papa. Just couldn't handle his daughter going "rogue" in his eyes.

28:55 the French put chrysanthemums on graves while other people put white or red roses on graves. It really depends on the culture you’re talking about. I’d probably make a bouquet of flowers specifically for a funeral to place on a grave of chrysanthemums, roses, and maybe even some other flowers that have some sort of symbolism of passing on.
I appreciate the nuggets of botany in this game.

You're correct that inputting the phone number is how you get the "good" ending, but it only works if you've "learned" all the digits of the phone number legitimately by playing the game over and over and getting all the various other endings. It's a tiny bit tedious, but it's worth it. Great game.

Really wish Arin would let Dan play these kind of games. With his vast Sierra experience and his basic reading skills, he's much better suited.
You two should play Lenna's inception, it's an adventure game that seems to be inspired by Link's awakening, has different world seeds, challenges like limited hearts or weapons, you can have it be 8 or 16 bit and theirs even two player mode.
Also you'll like the story, it's pretty clever
for the True ending you need to leave the dungeons after getting the boss items
I watched Manly play this game and I am JUST now realizing the Ouran reference in it~ I hope you guys continue to play this, the other endings are morbid, but interesting and really flesh out the lore
