I just wish the Assembly of God groups would allow themselves to be taught by God through the scriptures instead of through each other and their opinions. You cannot have a church without biblical theology without distorting the truths of Christianity.
@@brucejr.guitoc724 Well that’s good to hear brother. I have just had bad experiences with the assembly of God churches. Not so much that they did something against me personally but every assembly of God church I have ever attended didn’t put any real weight on biblical theology..it’s more all about the Holy Spirit moving in the service and who can work gifts of the Spirit even though none of them do and so it becomes a mess... It’s as if biblical theology doesn’t matter and in the end they end up with a different Holy Spirit than the Holy Spirit of the scriptures...No weight on it at all from what I’ve seen. And the teachers / preachers they endorse and encourage is just awful along with many false ministries. And they let woman teach men on any given occasion to which is not a debatable issue. The scripture is clear that a woman is not to teach or have authority over a man. And I’m not a sexist either that’s just Bible. But the compromise is made and why? So their people will be satisfied. TBN seems to be their all time favorite ministry as well and all the quacks on there they seem to encourage. It’s like I seen a book on my ex pastors book shelf by Smith Wiggles worth. I was like whaaaat?? He said he was a great man of God...Yeah ok, maybe a great Charlatan at best. Let me kick you in the stomach for a healing grandma!! They’re all obsession with Joyce Meyer as well, a word of faith teacher and more. When you bring up a good solid credible teacher they run scared for the hills and say things like, “Yeah I don’t like that guy he’s too serious.” Yeah about biblical theology sure. The AOG brethren that I’ve known could sit comfortably under just about any teacher for the most part until the real teacher shows up and then they just want as far away from him as they can get. I’m sorry but it’s true and it shouldn’t be like this..

However I would like to encourage you in this that the scripture has to become our final rule for our faith and our practices. So to say if God was to have us hang from the chandeliers it would be good is also to say a practice like that is ok to be taught as coming from God even though it would be contradictory to the biblical pattern found in the scripture for the church. Think about it this way, as Paul instructed Timothy that all Scripture is inspired by the Holy Spirit so as to adequately complete the man of God in his work of righteousness and so when he teaches he must be adequate from the use of the scriptures. How can one teach that God has inspired a man to hang from the chandeliers if he cannot use the scripture to Adequately teach that? This is why I do not believe any of those manifestations that people were experiencing out at the AOG Brownsville Pensacola church back in the day. If we cannot adequately teach it from the scripture and if we cannot be complete in my work of righteousness in teaching from the scripture then we should not believe it brother. It’s kind of like this, if I am willing to believe in certain practices that certain people are doing even though I know those practices have no biblical support then what next will I believe? How close will I be to excepting a different gospel if this is my mindset? The Bible has to be our final rule for our faith and all our practices and without that support we shouldn’t believe it.
