- Navigating Conflict with a Wise Heart (Part 1), with Tara Brach
This series of talks offers guidance in transforming conflict into a portal for awakening your understanding, flexibility and compassion. We look at how to heal our own unmet needs and not be dependent on others changing; and how to engage with another person when both are dedicated to mindful communication. We also extend our exploration to societal conflict. The talks are accompanied by reflections and meditations that can directly enhance your capacity to respond to conflict from the most wise and caring part of your being.

With thanks and love, Tara
This was the most beautiful and powerful session and talk. I cried all throughout the meditation and realized even though I’ve practiced RAIN (or tried) many times, I never quite reached that deep level of unmet needs and what drives me to react when hurt by the other person. You described exactly what the unmet needs were: love, respect, safety, the permission to grow (very emotional for me in this one), connection and gratification. I give to exhaustion for love and as a scapegoat in my family since childhood, and how this dynamic plays out in adult relationships, I’ve never felt seen, loved, respected, safe or allowed to grow. I understand now it doesn’t need to come from them, it can come from my higher self. This was a portal for me… very powerful. Thank you Tara. ❤🙏🏼
Nameste sweet beautiful light. Love and gratitude for you and your heart!
Thanks, Tara!
I find comfort in your sharing. The word "practice" presents a real hurdle for me. But avoidance creates a tall wall. I continue to pray for willingness to practice making u-turns in faith I am loved. Thank you
I love you, Tara Brach. You have offered me ways of finding peace, love and joy as I walk through one of the most difficult times in my life, and all those awful feelings that plague and haunt me. Sometimes when I listen to your videos, I find relief. Thank you for the work you do.
Thanks!
Feeling very inspired. One comment - the "U-turn" as you refer to Tara might be better described as a "ME-turn", turning the attention in ourselves :)
Thank you so much. This has come at such a perfect time in my life. 🙏💞

That’s what faith feeds me every day; hope this helps many. I sure have been attacked these past 12 years by those that believe they are so open minded they couldn’t possibly be wrong not to mention hateful. If you lack faith in Jesus, this is a gift that may reach you. I pray it does. She is right; the foundation of our country is at stake. As has been said by Lincoln, our country will never be destroyed from the outside but by ourselves.
Namaste
I have also wonder what about a world without Hate and War as well. I see no sense in it War for instance, I try to wrap my head around how people can kill one another. Both sides have loved ones and if one was killed they would be hart broken. The other side would feel the same if they lost a loved one as well. So that's where HATE must come in it makes them blind to how the other would feel about what its like to suffer over the the loss their loved ones. I often think if there must be War maybe use paint guns and when your hit you get to go home.
Anyone could help me to transcribe the school boy's poem? "In the middle of japan surrounded by pacific ocean, the sea of our coast, the japan sea, the est china sea... elementary school. Right now I am fighting". Thank you 🙏🏽
Do you have a timestamp?

Here ya go. :) She is talking about how pain and conflict bring us to spiritual practice.
"There's a school boy in Japan. And he wrote this poem. He said: In the middle of Japan, surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, the Sea of Okhotsk, the Japan Sea, the East China Sea, at Furukowa East Elementary School, right now, I am fighting."
@@RCRB444 i appreciate you ❤
