Jeffrey D. Sachs is a world-renowned economics professor, bestselling author, innovative educator, and global leader in sustainable development. From 2001-18, Sachs served as Special Advisor to UN Secretaries-General Kofi Annan (2001-7), Ban Ki-moon (2008-16), and António Guterres (2017-18). He was also an advisor to the last leader of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev as well as to the first president of the Russian Federation, Boris Jeltsen.
It’s is so refreshing to listen to a brilliant man dedicated to speaking the truth for humanity and a peaceful world.
This is an extremely important perspective right now. Jeffrey is a big enough speaker that he's managed to avoid the global censors but he's one of a very few that's managed this. Don't forget to share this one.

@@HegelsOwl Laugh if you like. However, in truth, we all come across information and advance in our thinking when we are "ready," NOT by being force-fed. If Rhonda's family or friends had such an interest, they would likely be searching for such videos on their OWN.

This is a "Fallacy of Affirming the Consequent" (Google).
This is demonstrated with the simple fact that people don't always find what they're looking for, and for all types of reasons, not your fallacious singular reason.
There's also times we come into information we were'nt looking for at all, but which turns-out to be information we SHOULD HAVE been interested in. Validation for this can be seen in my OP, posted several hours ago, on the vid, "Ukaine and White Nationalism," by Intrinsic.
Fallacies are not arguments which justify belief: they're just fallacies. Seems you don't know what an argument is, Mr. Irrational: Let's see: State the relation an argument expresses which distinguishes it from all other expressions of speech.
What Sachs said here applies to Covid, HK, Taiwan, Xinjiang and many as well. HM....., strangely US don't bother to stir up instability with Macau, China. Wonder why? Pompeonogio said it all "we lie, we cheat, and we steal!"

The repetitive phrase "Putin's unprovoked war" every time the collective West talk about it is so strange and as suspicious as a guy who always introduces himself as "Hi, I'm Bob and I don't beat my wife".

Well Putin & his propagandists were falsely stating that the war was 'provoked' at every opportunity. It was in fact an optional war. There was no tearing immediate hurry for Putin to attack Ukraine. It was something he wanted to do for a long time. Destroy the Ukrainian state root and branch. Not really very hard to understand. Hitler had the same motivation vs. the Polish state in 1939.
Truth tellers like Jeffrey Sachs are needed for world peace. I pray that sanity prevails and that war is averted.

Excellent outline of the history leading up to the USA provocation of this war. Sadly Europe seems to weak to stand up to the USA. It`s best for the world not to deal with the USA and countries to work together and protect themselves from the USA.
Russia could have easily become a fantastic ally of the US with just one ounce of respect and empathy for their interests. It is no different than trying to get along with my neighbors.
USA can also benefit immensely by cooperating with China. Remember that China has never invaded any country outside its borders for 5000 years, unlike the USA. So why is China a threat?

This man's answers make great sense, for me anyway. I often question, why is our media showing us this, meaning is this propoganda by the U.S., and why. It is sad that I have to think this way, as I would like to take my countries media at face value. This country has not been on the right track for a very long time, and even if it concedes to try, it will still take a long time to arrive at a truly righteous place, as we peel the onion back to the core, will we not shed some tears, keep the toothpick in your mouth along the way, like Jeff, I do try to keep the positive outlook, although it is not expected.
The charges of "Russian propaganda" are refuted with the very obvious contradiction that "pro-Russian" journalists could become rich celebrities by changing sides. Obviously, their professional integrity, and nobility of character, compels them to contemptuously reject the "thumbs up validity" of more money for the validity of Justice.
As Martin Heidegger liked to say, "The obvious is overlooked precisely because it is obvious."

Re the question about the "right" of Ukraine to join NATO if it wants.... I would counter with the question of what did Ukraine have to gain, long term, by doing so? Neutral countries, by and large, are stable and prosperous. Joining the Euro monetarily also wasn't a problem. So rationally the only benefit of NATO membership to Ukraine was that NATO would PAY them for the increased ability to extend their aggression toward Russia. And Ukraine, still the most corrupt country in Europe, wanted the cash. I would also point out that post-Soviet Russia asked to join NATO and they were NOT given that "right." Thus, this whole toxic cocktail is about NATO leveraging Ukrainian corruption to expand aggression against the "designated enemy" (Russia) regardless of whether Russia wants to be in that role.

Thank you, Professor Sachs, for your brilliant insightful remarks. There are two points that I am wondering as to why you did not touch on - because it would be too horrifying to the American people? One is what would happen if the USD loses its global currency status. I read an article several years ago that history shows that this status may be ending soon. With its huge debts, can one imagine what would happen if the USD is no longer the global currency? I am sure the real US leaders know this and they have worked out that military dominance is the way to go to ensure the USD can keep its status. The second point is actually related to this global currency issue as well. How useful is the war in Ukraine in ensuring that the EU and its euro will never be a threat to the throne occupied by the U.S. and USD again? Is this a killing multiple birds with one stone war?
