- In the last few years, we’ve begun to talk about ‘privilege’. But what exactly does this word mean anyway? One of the characteristics of privilege is that people fail to acknowledge it. And if they acknowledge it, it’s easy to forget it with time. Traveling to the heartland of the nation can make you have a measure of the ground reality. And that is exactly what happened when I went to live with the Manganiars in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer district.

@@EtherealColours so have you experienced closed people also? As in whom you tried to communicate with and they just did not open up?
When I get down to interview someone, that hasn't happened because I interview people who I feel will be able to share. What does happen is that you don't get what you were looking for or what could be a great new insight.
But yea sometimes when I meet someone for the first time, there are many who are closed and I don't push them much.
