  • Hey Y’all,
    My name is Zach and I’m from San Jose, CA (Northern Cali) and this is my first official video.
    I’m always searching online for videos of Harleys like mine and like to watch what other people are doing to their bikes. Figured I’d do the same and hopefully give y’all the same enjoyment/entertainment that I get from watching these vids on RUclips.
    I’m new to all this so any advice on new videos I should do and/or how to do them, please let me know.
    I included a parts list below, if you want to see a dedicated video on a certain part or certain area of the bike just let me know and I’ll upload one.
    I’ll try to do some vlogging as well but would need someone to explain to me what to get and how to set it up.
    Alright y’all, see ya in the next one!
    Parts list:
    Thrashin 9.5” pull back risers
    Thrashin Mid Bend Bars

    Bro! for a first time, its absolutely a sick video. What even more sick is your setup! You blew my mind with that lower fairing! I'm from the East Coast and I haven't seen that around here at all!!!! And I haven't seen what other content you posted yet, but I'm hoping to see a POV of you cruising as well as looking forward to hearing how those pipes sound. I'm planning on buying a ST soon myself an was also looking into the Saddlemen Road Sofa seats but was curious how it would look on the bike. Thanks for clearing that up for me! Looking forward to future content. Ride Safe!

    Great video. I just picked up a 23 ST 2 days ago. Traded in my iron 883 and I have a list of parts I’m changing/adding. I’m going to get the same seat you got. That seat is sexy. I was going to go with the S&S 2 into 1 but I think I’m going to get the jackpot after hearing yours. Beautiful bike.

    Brilliant video, Zach, thanks for sharing. Some of the nicest combination of mods I've seen for the Low Rider ST, too. For your next video, please could you get somebody to film you on the bike? I'd be really keen to see how your tweaks have adjusted the rider triangle - I'm also 6ft1 so wondered if I would need to fit forward controls for this bike.

    When getting a wrap, there should be no lines or bubbles. However, it could take 2-3 weeks for bubbles to form and the shop should take care of those for free if any do appear. Everyone thinks they can wrap a vehicle but its a art and a science. Alot of good wrappers out there but 100x more crap wrappers too.

    Beautiful bike! Looks like we’re in the same area. Just got my ST last month and am currently having a similar issue with getting a PPF wrap. Waited 6 days and it ended up looking like a complete rush job as well. The shop owner told me to wait 3 weeks for the wrap to cure and that the air bubbles would go away too, but it’s looking even worse. I’m actually taking it back in tomorrow for them to redo most of the bike. Maybe we took it to the same place? 😂

    • @California__Kid__
      @California__Kid__  9 месяцев назад

      What’s up man, I made the horrible horrible decision to PPF my bike. It looked like absolute shit both times they did it. In the process they ripped the paint off my lower fairing, tried to be slick and wrap it black, cross threaded the bolts that hold my lower fairing, cut into the paint when they cut the wrap..and a lot of this was visible right when I got it back and when I finally got sick of the ppf and had it removed I seen even more f’d up shit. Biggest mistake I made was getting the bike wrapped, if your able to get out of wrapping I suggest you do it. Your heart was in the right place wanting to protect that beautiful paint but we don’t have any true professionals around here that can actually do it. The company that did mine was ‘Precision Automotive Paint Protection’ in Santa Clara, CA

    • @California__Kid__
      @California__Kid__  9 месяцев назад

      I have since gone to a body shop and had everything fixed on my dime in fear of going back to the place that wrapped it and getting f’d over even more..I just wanted to be done with that whole experience, lesson learned and hopefully someone who’s thinking about wrapping their bike reads this before they do it

    Dang where to start. My '23 is arriving shortly and out of the 1.2 trillion RUclips videos I have watched for reference yours is far and away the best for accessories. First one indeed...
    You have put on pretty much everything I have considered (include one I did not, the Lowers). I'm 6' to you 6'1, and was considering the 6.5' Thrashin riser because no need to get extensions and I thought it would suffice. When you sit on the bike flat feet to the ground, are your knuckles above or at your shoulders? Klockwerks - check, seat lock - check, S&S Stealth Air intake - was your shin hitting the OEM intake? The Saddlemen Road Sofa - my last bike was a RG Special and I loved the HD back rest. Does this seat offer adequate lower back support?
    Great vid and thanks for listing everything.

    • @California__Kid__
      @California__Kid__  Год назад

      Hell ya 🤘 and thanks man! Did you get white or black? I was originally going to get 12” bars but it was slightly above shoulder level and I feel like I had a little less control so I went with the 9.5” which is perfect..it sits just slightly under my shoulders, gives me the best posture, and most control. The way the bike is stretched out, your legs don’t hit any of the air filter even with mids..my sporty I used to have would be rubbing against the intake all the time, pain in the ass that was.

      Initially I placed my order in the beginning of June at house of thunder Harley Davidson, put my refundable deposit of $1000, and was told by their sales guy that my bike would be in by the end of the month..bike never came even after 3 months but I was told everytime I did check in that it would be here by the end of the week..with the riding season coming to an end I was starting to get very impatient and just wanted to ride so I called all the dealerships in California and the only one that had the black ST was Harley of Sacramento. They told me that somebody just backed out of their order, they have the bike, and will honor any price I had with house of thunder..I said GREAT, I’m in my way!!! Took an Uber up to Sac and got my bike that night…then when I told house of thunder I already got my bike and I want my deposit back then they tried to do me dirty and say it was non refundable but once legal action was threatened I got my deposit back..

      What’s up man, Im 6’1 190lbs and I haven’t had any of those issues..there have been only 1 time my ass actually hurt and that was riding the bike home from the dealership which was a little over a 2 hour drive on that stock Harley seat..the other time was when I had to break in the Saddlemen step-up seat…but as far as the ergonomics I personally have not had an issue..at one point I thought about maybe installing forward controls but because I ride pretty aggressive I wanted to keep my feet under me..I have ridin 7hrs straight on my bike and haven’t had any issues..the risers did definitely help as the stock setup had me reaching forward the whole time, the Saddlemen Explorer RS was a game changer for me and def my passenger

      I’m 6’1 as well, 200lbs, and a very aggressive rider so the Lowrider st is perfect for me but a few of my friends don’t like the mid controls on my bike because they are a little higher up on the bike which I think is to get a better lean angle and better control plus I still get some baby tour benefits because of the mid size and the bags

      @@California__Kid__ im not sure about the thrashin bars. They say they are 1” bars and internal wiring compatible. I would ask them. The left grip needs to be fully bored out. My grips are on the stock bar so they work, but first I tried to use a flymoto 1-1/4” bar which you would think wouldn’t be a problem. But the left grip opening could not receive the internals of the left heated grip. The wall thickness of the bar was too thick at that end. The throttle side was fine.
