You can get the lights to look much more like the old angel eyes with the visibility pack option. As well as laser high beams the daytime running lights are extended to wrap half way round the light projectors. The standard daytime running lights on the car in this video look crap in comparison.
Good honest and balanced review. I think the 3 looks a winner overall. I’ve owned a couple of E92s as well as an F30 and they’ve all been great cars. I have one or two reservations re this, but I’m getting old and I think this model is a reaction to criticisms of the previous 3 and is what people want i.e. more tech and more bling. I am pleased they seem to have improved the dynamics, so it has substance as well as these fripperies.

BMW 8 Speed automatics are now excellent, seriously you don't need manuals or dual clutch. I love manuals but BMWs auto box especially with 2 litre diesel is so good now that driveability, performance and economy are not compromised whatsoever, always in the correct gear, always revving at less than 2k, silky super smooth changes. The 2litre d F60 Mini works even better with the 8 speed auto due to light weight car and have driven a 520d with same auto box. In traffic queues the auto box makes everything much easier than manual. The 520d I drove was great.. stunning car BUT I declined buying the 520d because like so many people now realising sitting uncomfortably flat to the road, electric seat adjustment is rubbish for tall drivers, average visibility at best and very poor rear and poor mirror visibility coupled with poor boot space.. hatches much better and BMW high middle age maintenance, expensive tyres, poor record of electrical reliability etc etc make other SUV style cars far more appealing... so every aspect great just BMW low rider saloons are no longer as cracked up to be as good as modern SUV with much improved everyday seating position and flexibility.

I find drivng the 3 diesel more enjoyable and get fantastic gas milage on long trips. But, both are great cars.
Is it just me or does £37,400 sound like an awful lot for a humble 320d...? Ad a few options and you have a £40k car :-o I know they will all be "sold" on finance/company cars but even so... I dread to think how expensive the 6-cylinder models will be!!!!
It’s a big car now, getting too expensive...but design wise it is a bit more interesting than the last one, but still quite dull on the inside, despite the tech, if it looked like a Lexis inside it would be excellent!
Car reviews have turned into sales pitches or marketing clips (w/ feature overviews and whatnot) for car manufacturers. A car review should be as critical as it is informational. It cannot be that everything about this car is perfect. Highlight the shortcomings too.

First 3 series, EVER, I dont like... The car lost its DNA. It looks lika a KIA in and out. Those black plastic bumper fillers, the square gauges, the inside lit up in all colors of rainbow . And now it is as big as 5 series...

Nice car, still got an F30, I ordered full electric this year, enjoying a the 2019 Tesla Model S 100D at the moment, and experiencing that car for 2 weeks now, BMW is not even close to Tesla. They lack behind big time! Regarding the beard .. would like to put it on fire as well!

With respect to the f90 M5, this is new info to me, i just saw an video where it clocked 3,2secs to 100km/h, not flat. Understand your comments, didn't know that. However, it still is a 1.0 car, Tesla is 2.0. Once you've driven a powerful electric there is no way back.
I’m all for tech for safety, but surely we don’t need a reversing aid on a mid sized saloon! Tech for techs sake! Same as the parallel parking aids on cars, no need! Nice car tho! 😉
It's just stuff that barely anyone will use on a daily practical basis that can and probably will break! In fact on the car wow review, this reversing memory function actually did not work. How touchscreen are legal to use is beyond me. You can't possibly operate one without looking away from the road. That's why using phones whilst driving aren't allowed.

My first cars never had them, but they’ve saved me a couple of times where there’s been a low post or even a person walking behind the back of the car ! They rarely break either. I’m not sure if I see the point of parallel parking aids mind. The tech is subjective I guess. Totally agree with regards to touchscreen as it’s dangerous,cumbersome and gets dirty easily - it should just be the idrive control as BMW’s system is great as it is.
