He did such an amazing job. I felt like I was really there. He made characters vivid without being dramatic, and his range of voices was incredible. Utterly believable in every sense, and his Sherlock voice is very soothing and amazing. Reminds me of Basil's calm and weary Sherlock - the ideal Sherlock to me.
He was terrific. Was especially impressed with VALLEY OF FEAR and his American accents.
That's like 60 hours of reading! Very impressive.
Now I have All the Harry Potter books AND Sherlock Holmes books read by Stephen Fry!
This is amazing news :)
72 hours actually!
Now he has to do the whole Hitchhiker’s guide to the Galaxy and not just the first book, as I am not the fond of Martin Freeman reading it.
Listening to 'A Scandal in Bohemia' now and thoroughly enjoying it. Stephen Fry is wonderful as Holmes and Watson.
*Desesperately opening Audible and buying it* !! This can't get any better! Thanks SF!
Next, have Fry read George Challenger (3 novels and 2 short stories).
Now this IS good news! :-)
why being the full part had been deleted . any one have full version of this it'll be so kind
*Amazing!*
*We are just all wondering why was this not done before.*
*I could barely read it better myself.*
All these audio book stories are available to listen to for free on RUclips, but to listen to Fry's rendition you have to part with £80, no wonder he drives a car that can drive itself.
He has trained, practiced, worked, and dedicated his life to his craft. Good things cost.
Possibly the stupidest comment. Even £80 million makes a bargain for Fry's set.
I CAN'T TAKE THIS FUCKING AD ANYMORE! That's the only ad I've seen in months. I used to love Stephen Fry, but this is getting out of hand. Using the same fucking ad for months is not going to make me download it. At least change or vary the ads shown, please!!! I'M GOING MAD!!!
Get used to it.
