I prefer the og. Mimic being offbeat seems like a stylistic choice by the devs. I think it adds more chsracter and variation having him play on the offbeats instead of on the same beats as the monster he's mimicing.

say 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 continously to the beat. then go to fire oasis. say 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4. you’ll notice mimic starts on different beats
