Farbar Recovery Scan Tool, or FRST, is a portable application designed to run in the Windows Vista and Windows 7 Recovery Environment in order to diagnose and fix boot issues. This tool can also be used in Windows XP if the system can boot to Recovery Environment by using a PE Boot CD.
This program will display detailed information about the Windows Registry loading points, services, driver services, Netsvcs entries, known DLLs, Exe associations, drives, and partition specifications. It will also list some important system files that could be patched by malware.
Note: There are both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Farbar Recovery Scan Tool available. Please pick the version that matches your operating system's bit type.

Malwarebytes is a great program, and so is Farbar Recovery Scan Tool, They are both different programs and this video is not to find out whats best. Its really meant to work with Malwarebytes, the more good tools you have to fight against malware the more chance you have of winning.

JORGEORGASMO TORRES Your welcome.
Cool tool
Have you tried running other scans?
A very educational video! I would still prefer to use Kaspersky Rescue CD, because it seems a little too complex for me. But it was still a great video!
I need to know the commandline text (fixlist) for rolling back to a specific time; as I don't have a virus or bugs, I lost boot abilities thanks to a faulty Realtek driver uninstall/install.. do you know that one? ..if so, could you give me a specific example here in the comment section please?
How do you know what line to copy across? you never explained it, you just did it

Bamital and Volsnap Check. (MD5 is legit Infected location)
Could you please let me know, why!
thank you so much for you response on my request!
GOOD QUESTION
Thanks brian :-)
Hmm the command mode step was a bit fiddley, would the command mode allow you to use dos direct to overwrite/copy files or do you have to feed the program a "to do" list ?
A dos edit program with the farbar would save you having to call up the one in windows, it may have been infected then farbar would be foobar'd lol :-)
hey man i cant find my zero access is that a problem
I see what I can do
@britec09 ur the coolest techy i know lol,
do you have any video about virus from driver pack solution web page? and how to efectively remove that virus i think is pup google crome infection,it steal password and freze computer at start up and install google crome, opera etc and that google crome apear again even when you uninstall again and install again ,i think you can use far bar recovery but i still dont know how to use it afther watching this video Remove Malware Infections with Farbar Recovery Scan Tool by Britec, send me the video pls?
so, i followed this, very informal by the way i really enjoyed it. However it never picked up any "zero access" files. I couldn't get my computer to boot still and really want to get back into my computer. It pops up as "startup repair cannot repair this computer automatically" please help
whoa I found the craziest thing when I pressed dir I found out that my laptop is controlled by the malware or virus
sir i cant update my windows im using farbar
Can Malwarebytes and/or SuperAntiSpyware deal with zeroaccess?
Great post. Thank you! My Acer Laptop doesn't boot up after installing a windows update. I tried everything within the windows environment. But no success. I can't go to safe mode either.
I ran Farbar tool. There's no "zero access" entries in the log. Services are legit too. Can you please tell me what else could be the problem.
Your laptop may have had a Virus that was an MBR overwriter.
What I'd recommend doing is getting the installation CD for whatever Windows version you had and reinstalling the OS.
my computer is badly infected, will this remove all of the viruses?
can you make an updated guide please?
Word-wrap. Great video, though. ;)
No that would not remove the infection.
yeah its a nice tool, it would be a lot quicker if I was not showing people.
Better than Malwarebytes? I trust your answer. So what say you?
Are you Frankie?
Do you mean Sada? lol

DUDE THANK YOU SO MUCH! I had like 300 lines with
You didn't really explain why seeing zeroaccess there is important, or why it's important, or if zeroaccess means you have zero access to the folders, or if that's the name of a virus. Like If I don't have zeroaccess appearing in my folders, I can't use any of this tutorial because you didn't explain any way to generalize this information?
