    What book list would you like me to cover here in the future? Do you have a favorite business or marketing topic?

      What is the sales challenge or opportunity you are hoping to address in your SAAS business? I’ll do my best to recommend a relevant book.

      Hi Rick. I would like to know if you have read "build better products" by Laura Klein. I am reading "ux for lean startups" by her too and its very helpful but I wanna know what about that one. I found out that at Amazon that book is a little bit expensive (55$) and before buying it I want to know if it worth it. Thanks champ...

      I can't think of a book off the top of my head, but you might enjoy this episode where I explain why Amazon started with books. It might be useful in choosing the products that you want to sell. ruclips.net/video/kns5l4nxWeY/видео.html

    Rick books on bootstrapping recommendations pls

    • @RickKettner
      @RickKettner  2 года назад +1

      Many startup oriented books indirectly relate to bootstrapping in that they help keep costs/risk very low. Books like The Lean Startup, Sprint, and The Mom Test provide tips for testing ideas in inexpensive ways... often allowing you to fully validate the idea and even start accepting orders prior to investing significant capital.
      That said, it all depends on the situation. I can't think of a specific book dedicated to bootstrapping at the moment, but the general principle is to keep costs as low as possible for as long as possible, so you have a long runway to test, test, test... as opposed to overcommitting to one idea and burning through all available cash without knowing if it has real potential.

    What book would you recommend for someone who is going to join as a first PM of a early stage SaaS startup where you are more likely to focus on Product Discovery during the initial stages

    • @RickKettner

      Hi Praveen! Have you read any other books on the subject already? Assuming you have, I think a book like The Mom Test might be a great place to start. It's about making sure you are getting useful information from early conversations with potential customers. However, The Lean Startup may be more important if you aren't yet familiar with some of the concepts covered there.
