I was the first female on air radio announcer in Denver, Colorado and while training at a tech school I was the only female student. The instructor trained the men on studio camera and attempted to skip over me so I had to insist that he train me too. His comment was “you won’t be running camera your too small. My first job as a broadcast engineer was camera. I was also told that the First and second class FCC license test I had to take was extremely hard and that I probably wouldn’t pass it. I did pass it. There was no women’s bathroom at the first radio station I worked at in the 70’s. I had to use the only restroom in the building.

Hearing her salary was 12k is mind-blowing. That is intern pay not full-time. How do you accept less than minimum wage? Yes the firm took advantage but she allowed it by accepting the offer. Everyone knows the finance industry pays 🤷🏾♀️
