Most reactors listen to the song as fast as they can an pay no attention to the words. I love you Shaun an Mel because you listen to the words an pay attention to what’s being said. God bless you two.
Absolutely! and if you know the song, you can't wait for them to get to the part you know will get a strong reaction, Shawn and Mel never disappoint! They are my favorite reactors.. :)
When I was a teenager, I used to make fun of Tammy but now, I appreciate her for the sensitive and beautiful songs that she sang. Great reaction Shawn and Mel.
Thumbs up, another great reaction. You are so right Tammy's voice has way of bringing out your emotions of the picture she paints. My favorite one of her's is "Apartment #9"
Yeah, tell me had one of those forces that what it does. Is a penetrate? I know the words 2 days after you hear this song. You're gonna be singing bits and pieces of it. And your head when you're standing in line at 7:11. How a right?
Ok.. my hubby just told me today .. 3/17/24.. that Tammy wasn't in the top ten of female country singers of all times. .. I'm in shock.. he was in shock Tammy's voice is so perfect country... She's the Queen of country.. I have no idea what he was seeing on whatever website.. It's Tammy.. don't mess with Greatness.
This is why l LOVE my Classic Country Music that l grew up with. These Ladies, Tammy, Patsy , Loretta, Dolly an so many others know how to grab your heart with their voices! Next song by Tammy, "Kids say the darndest things on earth".
The song was written by Billy Sherrill and Glen Sutton in 1967. It became her first number one hit. It had to be written exclusively for Tammy, I really believe that!
The Ladies of Country Music in the 60's wrote songs that were ahead of their time. Tammy lived a hard life & never got the recognition she deserved. God Bless her now that she's in Heaven...
This one always brings a tear for families of divorce. No matter how it goes it always effect children so badly! Tammy conveyed this message with great class & talent. Great reaction!❤
The actual first lady of country music is Mabel Carter back in the 1930's. I watched a 16 hour documentary about the history of country music. They started the journey back to 1900. Mabel Carter was the FIRST woman that was allowed to sing, play and record country music.
@@ajruther67 Sorry, but I have literally never heard of her. No disrespect of any kind was intended for anyone, not even Ms Wynette (who I greatly admire), but I am 61 and have never heard that name before and so I would have no way to compare her and Ms Lorretta's accomplishments. Let's be honest here, Loretta broke a whole lot of glass ceilings and kicked in lots of previously closed doors. Of course she likely couldn't have done so had it not been for the help of, and promotion by, the late great Patsy Cline
@TonyM I agree with you on all points about Loretta Lynn. She sang about taboo things that were never talked about before. She was definitely a trail blazer and thank goodness for Patsy being her mentor. RIP to both of those wonderful ladies.
I'm 61 Y/O now...when I was young I swear I didn't know there was any other female singer but, Tammy. My Momma played her album over and over and over!! ❤
Oh my goodness I just have to tell you I'm just at over 2 minutes I love how intently you guys listen to the music and you just get it like I've always said you and one other couple of my favourite go-to reaction video people love you please don't stop being you God bless much love from Canada 🙏❤️🇨🇦👋
You mentioned the 'pain and heartache' in country music. Old joke from back in the day: "I bought a country album and played it backwards. My wife came back, my dog came home, I got my old job back, and I quit drinking."
Jay and The Techniques "Apple, Peaches, Pumpkin Pie" is an excellent song, one of my favorites from childhood. I think it's timeframe is late 60's to early 70's.
Thank you guys. Tammy was one of the best, along with her one time husband, George Jones, another great singer. So many great songs both of them had individually. Some more beautiful Country music is " Singing My Song " by Tammy, " A Picture of Me Without You" by George Jones, " The Streets of Baltimore " by Bobby Bare, " Old Dogs, Children, and Watermelon Wine " by Tom T. Hall, and " The Story of My Life " by Marty Robbins. My ole man loved his Country music, and i remember them well.
I got to see Tammy at the Cobleskill Sunshine Fair. It cost the Fair entry + $5 to sit in the grandstands. If you stood in front of the stage it didn't cost at $5.
I don't wanna play house is about Tammy Wynette and George Jones. George Jones had a song he stopped loving her today that was about his relationship with Tammy Wynette.
I AM A SINGER MUSICIAN WHO SANG AND RECORDED IN NASHVILLE BACK IN HER DAY😊❤…SHE WAS KNOWN AS “THE BITCH OF COUNTRY MUSIC” AND SHE MADE IT CLEAR AND TRUE “THE WAY SHE FELT ABOUT IT!!!”!!!! 😢BUT WAS/IS HONEST ABOUT IT❤😊…😢❤. DOLLY PARTON WAS ALL OUR FAVORITE BECAUSE SHE HAD TRUE EMPATHY FOR ALL HUMANITY.❤

Many people has said that she sings with a tear drop in her voice. Indeed she does.
@Tammy Bennett I've heard lots of people say it. Maybe it's my generation and older. I was born in the 60's.
@@tammybennett6897 Really? I'm surprised you haven't. I was in elementary school the first time I heard that said about her. I believe it was on TV.
There will never be another one like her. ❤❤❤

Love Tammy Wynette
When she hits that note, you know the one, I still get chills.
I agree with Mel. A perfect song for Tammy! Terrific songwriter with a beautiful voice singing it.
Tammy sings with such heartache, she lived alot of heartache
I grew up listening to Tammy and Loretta. They both pull at those tears. You can feel the hurt in her voice. Love her music.
Tammy Wynette and Loretta Lynn sang about things they lived...that's why they are legendary!
Another good one by her in this vein is D.I.V.O.R.C.E. If you thought this one twisted your heart, try that

Tammy was a living legend. Her voice was so smooth and clear. Tammy wrote this song
Some of these old classic country songs are just built around brilliant lyrical ideas...

Tammy’s music was so gut wrenching sometimes.
Such real music.. how can you not love Tammy
Respect. Queen of County.
The writers were Billy Sherrill and Glenn Sutton. The song won the 1968 Grammy for Best Female Country Vocal Performance.
Tammy and Billy wrote stand by your man
Oh you have to react to Tammy Wynette singing Till I can make it on my own
Tammy had many great songs and even more sung with George Jones. Check out “Their Playing Our Song”.
I saw her as a little girl at the New York State Fair in the early 1970’s. My parents loved her! I love her song D I V O R C E she could really sing!
If you haven't yet, you need to watch George and Tammy! Great movie about two legends in love

Her story telling voice draws you in. With that tear drop. But that steel guitar is the emotional part of it.

Great song and reaction. You need to hear her sing "Apartment#9"
I know you would enjoy "Your Good Girls Gonna Go Bad." :)

The world, as seen through the eyes of children, can sometimes be heartbreaking.

Thank you for sharing this song. I never heard it before. She's saying a lot.
I used to sing this all of the time when I was a young girl, it was really popular then.
You really should check out "Apt. #9" by Tammy..it's awesome and will pull at your heartstrings too!
You guys are real actors; you bring out the drama and story of each song. I feel like I’ve been to a movie after I watch one of your videos.
For a little different sound from Tammy, try "You and Me". Really beautiful song.

Billy Sherrill co-wrote the song. He was her producer and had a lot to do with her sound.
Playing house was another way of saying having an affair.

Tammy went through pure hell in her marriage.
