- The Costa Mesa Historical Society's 2023 Calendar is now available, and one of the CostaMazing homes featured is this beautiful Spanish Colonial Revival home built in 1930 located on the first paved concrete street in the City Of Costa Mesa! Owner John Kittrell has done a magnificent job restoring this home to back to its original condition, while adding modern enhancements that would make its builder, the first woodshop teacher at Newport Harbor High School very proud! To learn more about Costa Mesa history or purchase a calendar visit costamesahistory.org
The original owner must be so proud of John for not only taking care of the house but also delving into his life and remembering him to this day
Tracking the original owner and introducing him to the today's world, very thoughtful gesture 🌷🌷
Thats a beautiful home good history 😊
Well done John Kittrell. Thank you for being such gracious host. I love the history of this California house.
Really beautiful house , I love such a simple but beautiful houses. Thank you for video
Lucky guy,, that house is beautiful
It's wonderful to see someone remain true to the period. Job well done, Mr. Kittrell!
I like how he justified the cutting-down of the that beautiful bougainvillea 😊
I understand his reasons, but I have to say, it was stunning.
Such a beautiful home!!!!
The bougainvillea are a very important part of the look of the mini acienda like house. But the house itself is gorgeous 😍 good job. 👍
It's just beautiful ❤
Beautiful home 🏡
So much history!
Absolutely gorgeous home ❤
Great Home !!!
What a gorgeous house
Stunning home ❤❤❤
Stunning. You are living my dream. Thank you!
Gorgeous 👍👍👏👏👏👏👏
My absolute favorite home 🏡
Beautiful house, maybe remodel the kitchen with Spanish style tiles & Art Deco glass cabinets
Brick houses are the best.
Great video and beautiful property! I love helping people move to our beautiful community!
It’s such a crime to take that beautiful plant down.. what a shame
I appreciate your efforts to restore a wonderful home. When did Faux Dynasty Mondo homes become necessary?
I would be tempted to remove the wall of the living room, the one that creates a narrow corridor.
Would CA native plants add an air of authenticity to the landscape?
Thanks for opening your home.
I wonder why the first house kept the 1980s kitchen
John is a cool cat.
How much?
Its a shame the decline of Art in the 21st century. Men/Women before the tv and cellphone use to spend more time developing their skills in art. This home result of a home with character. Today homes are built cheap and fast. They look so plain and square these days.
It was Spanish Revival style not Colonial.
Kinda wimpy to destroy an awesome plant because a possum was in it.
It's not like it was a poisonous rattlesnake or something dangerous. He probably scared the poor possum.
