One of the best quotes ever came across.. "be so afraid to fail that the success is mandatory" Well done RAHUL DUA..!! you gave me chance to look for a new perspective for the rest of my life..
i am a asset for myself but this world has thrown me down and i suffer a lot because of effeminacy but i have raised a lot from that which i would like to share
Saw this video before watching comicstan, didn't know him then and then I watched comicstan, became a huge fan(still didn't realise that he was the same guy from this video) and now when I searched Rahul Dua comedy, this video came up. Its so weird to know that he's from my college and that I've already come across him before even watching comicstan! Super weird and Its even more weird to know that he was still pursuing his degree when I started pursuing mine!
I started getting into Stand-up comedy around 2 years back. When I first performed my set in Mumbai, I had no idea who was hosting and who else was trying out their material. To my shock, it was Biswa hosting and comedians like Zakir Khan and Naveen Richard were there trying out their stuff. I got to meet other comics as well, and it was a wonderful experience overall. My first set ever went really great, the audience gave an amazing response and I felt brilliant too. But what followed after changed my thoughts on stand-up comedy in India. The following months were filled with ups and downs - I was new to college (undergraduate) and hardly had the time to write new material. Finding places to perform was a tedious task too. What was worse? Getting the audience to 'click' with you. Don't get me wrong, but I do believe likability has a lot to do with how well 'jokes' go around with the audiences. I won't name them, but I know of comedians today making great money with the worst, senseless jokes ever just because their 'fans' adore them. Anyway, I have sadly seen a lot of wonderful comedians go unnoticed because of the lack of sense and logic put in by their own audiences - they wanted easy jokes while their comedians kept trying hard. To conclude, if you are planning on getting into stand-up comedy, prepare to put in a great ton of time and energy just to even get few laughs on a regular basis. Stand-up requires a huge deal of commitment and hence I left the scene itself. Maybe I'll go back someday.
I am also in stand up comedy since class 9 and I m now in 12 ... U are lucky to be in a good city I have established myself open mic from the help of komedians network of India and some sponsorship from them and practice and do open mics in small restaurant I live in so backward city which is just a town and k m from Odisha Yes u are correct that stand up needs full commitment and that's why only some are famous I m giving jee exam this year so that i could get IIT Delhi and continue there ... I think I can clear it as I have worked so much for only this purpose to do stand up and move to a good city

I can definitely see how genuine and heartfelt it is. What he said isn't something I've heard the first time, but his passion is definitely audible in his voice. I really love his stand ups.
I totally agree that evryone should explore oneself, read books question your existence and being here. After exploration you stick to one job and do everything tovreach the pinnacle of it.
I dont know ...he says he is extrovert...but for the first time...it seemed he wanted to say all these thing to large number of people for a long time ..and he was bit cracking while sharing his opinions on self exploration.🙂🙂 truly a gem.
Hi Dua,it feels good when you are watching random inspirational videos and find one of your batchmate's..sahi video..very relatable..I am also in the stage of self-discovery..still looking for so called 'calling'..👍 Cheers..🍷🍷 (MFP)
If you love what you do, you won't do a "job" a single day in your life. If you don't love what you do, find your love. ^In a nutshell, what every preacher these days tries to tell, some way or the other
Bde bhai, yaar tum Kamal ho, funny bhi!! 👊 Though I feel I have figured out my calling, my purpose of life but even then I will further explore myself and the world. Who knows what more this world and me has to offer to myself.!! ✌️
It sounds great to hear from one who is already successful but not everyone is as great as you, just for example every class has a topper, there are backbenchers too. maybe some of them won't survive outside that controlled environment. So it's better to stick to what you are doing until you found out that you are that topper in your passion!
Some people just want to build complicated systems and coding is the perfect tool for that. From his talk, it looks like he doesn't understand that coding is much more than if/else/while and statement. It takes hours of practice, It takes an understanding of the domain-specific concepts. It takes an understanding of the industry.
