  • Simple Adjustable DC voltage power supply, Voltage regulator DIY.
    This is a simple adjustable DC voltage power supply using a 2sc5200 transistor with lm317. This is a basic voltage-adjustable power supply. But not a powerful DC voltage controller. You can supply an input maximum of 40V. Please use a large-size heat sink.
    Components used in this project:-
    1. 2SC5200
    2. LM317
    3. 0.22 Ohm 5W Resistor
    4. 10k Potentiometer
    5. 220 Ohm 1W
    6. 5A Diode

    It seems impossible,,all the current will pass through variable resistor potentiometer,,however pot seems to be of 20 watts...it can not carry 10 or 15 ampere

    "I don't know if there's something wrong with my circuit or if it's just not good. I used the exact components and followed every step from the video. I even used a heatsink from an ATX power supply. When supplying power without a load, it gets warm to the touch, but with a load of just 700mA, the heatsink becomes extremely hot, almost too hot to handle. I intended to use it with a 2A load, which means it’s not actually suitable for real use

    Максимум это то что позволит lm317!
    Или у тебя lm317 может выдерживать потенциал в 200 вольт?😂

    Nice build! One question - hot glue melts and stops adhering when it gets hot, so wouldn’t using the hot glue on a heat sink be a problem?

    Why are you using 0.33 ohm 5 watt resistor....can this circuit hold 10 amp ....? And can i use 220 ohm 5 watt resistor

    When you use a bridge rectifier with 220v ac, you get around 330v DC output. It will be great if you design a a circuit to control such input

      the way it is built should be more mechanically stable.
      (I can imagine that this is of course for the video!)
      I miss capacitors to smooth AND suppress interference.
