My sentiments exactly. I tried getting one of the 'cheapest' houses and got turned down by 3 banking institutions! This you call rough🤧
You'd have to get land like for 1.5(country areas though) and use the rest to build...or if you hv family members that can sell you a cheap piece and you sort the title at Geolands and use your NHT to build on it
Although the price for the houses are definitely high for some persons, especially if they are fixer-uppers The could still be purchased and occupied.What persons need to ensure is that as long as the houses are structurally sound (no serious or potentially dangerous cracks at the foundation in the walls or floors with no leaking roofs, no extensive damage to plumbing etc, widows and doors are functional etc.The upgrade and modernization can be done over time as time an finances allow.
