I do my best cleaning at night. When I had two young boys and worked full time, my cleaning was night time and included at least one load per night of laundry. I can’t function if I wake to a mess. I will say that I designated Friday nights as a no clean night, other than cooking supper after getting the kiddos from day care. Retired now but old habits are hard to break and still prefer to clean after supper and late at night. We all do what works best for our situation(s).
Yesss. When my older two got older I loved to clean up right after dinner and have a clean house. Not gonna lie a toddler at my age, I'm so tired at night I probably only get to do a reset like this 3 x a week or so but always vow to try every night.
Hi Jess, I try to tidy up each night before bed. I think a full in cleaning might be something I try. My husband had a stroke last year and I am his full time caregiver. My days are full with taking care of him (he is particularly paralyzed). He is unable to bathe, dress or use the bathroom without my help. I always have a lot of laundry with him soiling his clothes & sheets. Between his care , laundry, cooking, etc. it might be easier for me to clean in the evening once I have him in bed. I know for you your little helper keeps you busy and likes to help you clean. Thanks for your video you have me rethinking my routine. As I am watching I have a subjection. I think an accent wall in your living room would be beautiful. I’m thinking the wall with the two sliding doors would be perfect for a dark blue color. It wouldn’t be a lot of color or a lot of work to paint. Excited for your laundry room project.Anyway take care until next time.❤
Thank you! Cleaning in the evening is exhausting after a full day like yours but definitely worth it to wake up to a fresh start. Almost easier to motivate me to keep it tidy throughout the day. I don't get to do it every night because sometimes I'm just so tired I want my bed as soon as Mac is a sleep. It's definitely worth trying out one day a week to see if you like it or relaxing is more of a benefit.

Yesterday i tackled my bedroom and closet and this morning i moved out the washer and dryer and cleaned up all the dust bunnies lol so i think i deserve a lil time to myself!! I'm glad your enjoing your hot tub have a great day💜💜

We finished a whole remodel in our basement right before the holidays last year where I am lacking motivation to tackle anything upstairs. The thought of dust and paint splatters gives me anxiety!! 😂

Hi Jessie. I'm impressed you have the energy to clean after a day with a toddler and all the other things you do during the day. It makes perfect sense to want to wake up to a clean and tidy home. I've never listened to an audio book in my life. Maybe I need to try it out. I could only do it if I was doing things around the house. It feels like 2024 is flying by so fast. Do you add a septic tank treatment each month? Highly recommend doing so. Oh, is jury duty over with? Have a great rest of the day.
I still have to call every night until the end of the month to see if I need to go in. Hoping I don't. We do a septic granules.. that's my husband's duty to do all the maintenance on things. He changes the water filters, cleans dishwasher filters etc. Helps my mental load by giving him all that plus he likes doing that kind of stuff!
Hi Jess we bought a large fridge and put in our garage just fo😊r drinks and snacks and excess fruit and veg it saves so much room in kitchen fridge. Definitely worth thinking about 😊
We love a garage fridge! We had one in our previous house but it died after moving here. Right now we have a commercial stand up freezer taking up the space of a fridge out there.
I'm with you in a clean up at night before bed. Nothing beats getting up in the morning and enjoying a picked up house. Totally starts my day off right!

Thank you so much! That room will be a dining room again one day but for now it suits our needs. Malcolm's room is meant for sleeping and promoting good sleep habits by not also being a playroom for him.
I can’t do one thing either. If I’m watching a movie or TV, I have to be reading, cleaning, or watching RUclips at the same time. The only exception is that I can listen to music while I’m reading, but it’s like my brain needs extra stimulation😂
Yesss same. Subtitles while watching TV helps with the double stimulation. My husband is hard of hearing so we always have subtitles on and now I can't watch TV without it !!

The sprayer is broken! I've been using the machine to make the solution and putting it in regular spray bottles. The eo solution is good stored for 2 weeks!
Great video very relaxing and motivating, I try to reset every night I find I can’t relax when looking at messes and yes makes the morning routine go a lot smoother.

I liked the music in this one a lot. Nice and calm. It absolutely counts as reading to use an audio book! My husband has dyslexia and adhd and that's the easiest way for him to read 😊
Audiobooks have gotten my husband to read as well! He's always said he isn't a reader but now he will devour book series faster than me!

I have an older nook that's on its last life. I'm going to upgrade to a kindle soon. I do enjoy reading ebooks a lot. I just can't hold a big book in my hands anymore for long periods of time. 😭

I am so ready for a more functional laundry room. It lacks storage!! We are excited to work in the backyard again as soon as it warms up a bit. We are going to be doing some demo in the cabana and adding more plants around the yard. My backyard is definitely my Happy Place! 😊
I use a wooden spoon across my pot so it won't boil over 😊
I bought a big one just for that reason... still boils over!
