Really enjoyed this video, thanks for sharing. My driving instructor starts at 9am and finishes at 8pm Mon to Fri. He's been doing that for 30 years. He is a total trouper. I passed my test on the 3rd June 2021 with 5 minors.
Glad you liked it Chez and thank you for commenting and liking the video, it really helps! You're driving instructor must be a trooper because I sometimes do 9 till 8pm and it's absolutely killer! 🙌😴😴😴
@@JoshRamwell I really don't know he does it. I get tired after driving for a few hours. It's his own driving school & turns 60 soon. Your videos are brilliant!
this is such a great video Josh! ive just brought the 4.99 app for my phone and im going to study like you said an hour here an there. im really looking forward to it, you are the first guy whos actually said look guys anyone can do this! just practise and go for it. ive missed so much of my kids growing up but right now the way i see it if i can learn to drive a triaxel nat ex coach up and down the motorway i can do this. im buzzing! i loved my driving instructor Brian he was a laugh a few of my mates passed with him and hopefully ppl will remember me the same one day.
Thanks Grey man I'm really pleased its helping. Any questions you have Judy let me know. I am slowly building a one stop shop on my Patreon aswell so keep an eye out 😁
i really like these videos Josh, for me getting an impression and info on becoming a driving instructor, greetz from Holland (yes you have an international audience ;-) )
Watching this because I’m considering joining RED to start my instructor training and realising you cover the Stoke area is mad! See you on the roads 🤣
Its very informative video with good tips and ideas, very honest opinion and reflection..I wish u very best of luck and may you become best instructor in the UK.
Great video! I'm currently a teacher looking to train as an ADI so this is a good insight into the profession. Cheers! Were you primary or secondary teacher? How long ago did you become an ADI? Do you find it a better working day than working in a school!? Thanks again!
Hey Jen. So best advice I can give is focus on practice before taking part 3. The more lessons you csn get in the better because a lot of the information you need is in experience not class room training so you have to be on the road. 😁
@james26695 passed part 1 and part 2 first time been on pink badge since January got my first attempt at part 3 next month. I'm passing mock tests with my ordit trainer but just getting 32/33
I realise this was a year ago but what I've seen of your videos many give the perception that you are always rushing around. (maybe that's what you want) In terms of cancellations. Your business plan needs to reflect a certain amount of cancellations. Ie you book 30hrs a week that you can manage but if you finish with 25hrs that is what covers the bills. Great if you do the 30hrs then take the Mrs out for a meal Friday night. Or save it for some CPD. What I have is a spread sheet that covers all my costs. Business and personal. It's everything including tax. My next aim is to plan 1 hour between every session. I do only 2hrs. That gives me time to spend going to the toilet. Popping home for the cat to see her. Maybe have a 10min walk between the lesson. Pricing is the key. You basically work one hour less for each hour you charge more. I know your costs we all have the same costs. So if your charging £30 an hour your barely earning around £15. Possibly less on a bad year. I know cleaners charging more than that. No offense to cleaners of course. Pricing is key. Work less for more.
I'm curious as to what the tape on the doors are for? My first guess is anything further back than the tape is a blind spot unless there's another use?
@@JoshRamwell That's really simple yet genius, I'm currently saving my pennies to get the ball rolling and the course started and will definitely keep that trick in mind.

It's for reverse bay parking using the 3 line method. They line that up with a white line and full lock and go in perfectly 🙌😁
