Good Stuff. Certainly are factors to consider when providing quotes. Think the hr. rate for Editing makes a lot of sense, especially as some projects take longer to edit than the Shoot itself.
Hi! I’m a beginner sort of, no formal education in the field or anything, and have been asked to make short videos for a company (social media/TikTok) but have no idea what to charge. I want to charge per video, but don’t know if I’m asking for too much (about 280 USD). Even though it is a short video, it’s still a lot of work to get to the end result. It’s not a full time job but will make videos for them here and there, do you have any tips for this specific job? I don’t want to scare them away haha
Hello, my advice would be to go in with what you think you’re worth and offer to do the work for that amount. If you get any pushback from the company, you can offer to do the first one or two for cheaper so that they can see your work and that after that you will charge your going rate. I hope that helps a little!
