I honestly hope Drag Race moves away from the BBC to another UK network next season. The queens invest all this money in their drag to compete yet because of BBC rules the best they can achieve is a cheap 'Ru Peter badge'. I just don't think that's good enough for a competition like this.
I just don’t understand it. How is it that the c-list ‘celebrities’ on Strictly get paid £25k just for starting the show and many 10s of thousands more as they advance through the competition, yet the queens on drag race get nothing. Double standards as you clearly can ‘win’ money on the BBC
I'm not an expert, but I'm quite sure that if he wanted, Ru could give money to the winner. It's just that in the US, because the network is private, other companies do it for him.

@@jadduck He could do it privately, but it couldn't be announced on the show or social media as a prize, because then they'd have to abide by the BBC guidelines for competitions with substantial prizes
(I mean it **could** be announced on the show, but obviously the drag race producers want to avoid having to follow those guidelines)

Coming from sibling rivalry with Laila I was excited to finally see her and not just her arm. But she damn frozen 🤣 also how she look so good? When I freeze I look busted.
The problem with the acting challenges is that they judge the queens on everything including rehearsals instead of just judging them on the final result.
They usually command them for doing great after struggling though, like on allstars Kylie won after Michelle had to play her part for her to get it
Well if i get it the first time i should be rewarded, whereas if a queen Is as good but struggles during reharsals, but the final product Is the SAME, then we should consider the reharsals too.

Ella was my favorite this week.✨ However I agree that the drag jewelry was an after thought. She should have came out wearing a gum ball pearl necklace or accessories that were shaped like candies 🍬 🍭

On the accent thing, British accents vary wildly compared to regional accents in the US. In the States there do seem to be loads of nuanced differences that wouldn't be immediately apparent to non-natives - e.g. different southern accents - but it's crazy how much they differ over here, especially over relatively small distances.
