I think Yvie is a good example of a queen who made it to the finale with 1 win, whereas Brooklyn had 3 wins and Yvie still won. So it's possible to get to the finale with 1 win and not be considered a placeholder.
Yvie was also considered the winner of the last challenge even though no official win was given. She had been in the top for ages and sometimes for no reason so it was not really an underdog story.

Even with how physically sick Utica's roast made me feel from cringing so hard, her asking RuPaul to stand up has got to be one of the unironically best things anyone's ever said on that stage.
I had my head under my blanket when Utica and Simone were roasting because I felt some uncomfortable. I was embarrassed for Simone and horrified at Utica. Then I made myself rewind it and watch it so I could see how people were reacting to them.
I like Utica's quirkiness but she only exists in her own world and nothing from outside her world can deter her. She was basically told to not do the whale joke and then turned around and did it word for word, they told her not to be mean and that's basically all she was. It's unfortunate that she didn't want to accept criticism and learn from it and better herself, I'm hoping that once she sees herself on the episodes, she'll have a revelation and recognize why certain comments were made to her.
Sometimes it takes experience to teach someone what is appropriate. I think the bubble of the show, quarantine and probably her personally had a lot to do with why she refused the criticism they gave her. Sometimes with people like that you just have to let them do the thing and face the consequences for them to learn because they wont hear it from anyone but they will feel it.

Statically they were very close and the lip sync for your crown was right to determine the true winner of the show cause at the end of the day the show revolves around LIP SYNCING. A track record is not as important as you think. Sometimes the judges make mistakes that the fans do not agree with, plus with that "if you're not the winner, you're in the bottom" twist messed with their track records. Shea is the deserving winner of All-Stars, followed by Jujubee.
Some of Utica's "jokes" about fat people were said after the "roast" had stopped. When she gestured to loni's size, it wasn't joke time. They were having a conversation about the jokes. Same as making to Michelle remarks about her body. Her "niceness" is only a performance in my opinion.

In 13 Seasons that was the first time I've EVER seen RuPaul get so annoyed with a queen she flips her off. Utica might be a quirky queen, but she really became a very unlikable queen. I don't think other quirky queens from the past, like Katya, Trixie, Alaska, Or Jinkx, would ever go out of their way to brutalize, shit on, and insult/bully the judges and the other queens the way Utica did. The lip sync was little bit boring for me. Its what Symone and Utica does every time when they lip sync. I think because this is the 4th time I watched them lip synced and im already know what they gonna do... thats the one thing about having a long season of drag race... things are staring to be repetitive.

I think Kandy sold it with her energy. She was confident and you felt as ease . Her jokes weren’t wow Netflicks special but it was enough. Her enthusiasm made it for me.

I think it’s between Rosé and Gottmik because they haven’t placed in the bottom 2, I fear that Symone’s chances of winning are over now that she had to lipsync for the second time

Well yvie oddly only had 1 win ( which she shared with scarlet envy ) and still won the season . Also Brooke Lynn had 3 wins , Akeria and silky had 2 wins each
And Sasha Velour’s two challenge wins were shared with Shea, who had i think 4 wins. However, Brooke Lynn had placed in the bottom twice, and there’s hasn’t been a winner who has had to Lipsync for their life more than once

People love to believe that their track records were completely apart when literally Sasha was in the top (mostly top 2) of most challenges and deserved to win the ball challenge which she was given. If she won that one she and shea would be TIED for wins. Not to mention Shea lip-synced for her life while Sasah never lip-synced. Statically they were very close and the lip sync for your crown was right to determine the true winner of the show cause at the end of the day the show revolves around LIP SYNCING. Eh anyways Sasha proved to be a better winner and drag legend (shea's words not mine).
@@happiestplace3754 No, nobody was robbed. Lip sync for the crown is fair game, and Sasha did a great job on season 9. Shea deserved her All-Stars win. She wasn't given anything. A track record is not as important as you think. Sometimes the judges make mistakes that the fans do not agree with, plus with that "if you're not the winner, you're in the bottom" twist messed with their track records. Shea is the deserving winner of All-Stars, followed by Jujubee.
Some of Utica's "jokes" about fat people were said after the "roast" had stopped. When she gestured to loni's size, it wasn't joke time. They were having a conversation about the jokes. Same as making to Michelle remarks about her body. Her "niceness" is only a performance in my opinion.

Yeah I got those vibes too. Something too forced about some of her interactions and performances. She's fantastic at a lot of things, that sleeping bag dress was breath taking but I fully got and agreed with the comments about her previous performance with the middle look in that ball being off-putting and unnecessary dragging down an otherwise good performance. Also really didn't like all the weird stans calling for blood over her not getting that win and alleging that Gottmik didn't earn that win with the insinuation that she only won because she's trans. Fucking disgusting behavior from some in the fanbase
I do appreciate these new queens not boiling women and femininity down to body/ titties/ hip shape. They truly are so feminine and powerful without the padding and extra chest. I really love that they are showing that any body is a drag body, any body is stunning, any body can be on drag race and be valid and WIN

In 13 Seasons that was the first time I've EVER seen RuPaul get so annoyed with a queen she flips her off. Utica might be a quirky queen, but she really became a very unlikable queen. I don't think other quirky queens from the past, like Katya, Trixie, Alaska, Or Jinkx, would ever go out of their way to brutalize, shit on, and insult/bully the judges and the other queens the way Utica did. I'm someone who roots for the underdog, for the quirky queen, comedy queen, but after that roast....I'm rooting for Rose'!!!!
