I particularly like this with the 90s Euro rave soundtrack... I like to think back in the day Pete was larging it big time in Ibiza before he hung up his raving shoes and settled down for camping holidays... very useful vid btw.

My top tip for putting tents away. After each fold i get the kids to log roll across it to get the air out. They love it and see it as a comp haha, by the time you come to roll it up it makes it very easy 😀

I used your video to learn how to properly put away our air tent. It's not been used in six years and I remember what a kerfuffle we had trying to get the genie back into the bottle! But now, following your direction, it's back in the bottle with room to spare for all the bits and pieces! Amazing, thank you. 🧞‍♂️

Thank you for the video Pete, after struggling to get the tent back in the bag after our first camping trip with the Air 6xl (we did watch other videos prior to going away) we ended up throwing the tent and bag in the boot separately and just coming home. Watched this video and then managed to get it in the bag on the first try, absolute lifesaver!

Hi Pete A huge thank you for taking the time to make this video, I reckon it saved me 40 mins when packing up. My only additional tip to speed things up a tiny bit is to work the air out of each beam by working along each one from sealed end to valve end. A huge thank you again

    Hi Pete.
Great advice, but could I just add that if you attach the airpump - making sure it is in deflate mode - pumping it ensures the air is taken completely out of the tubes. This would make it even easier to roll up.

The pump has an inflation and deflation valve. You attach the hose to the opposite side of the pump and rather than pumping air into the beams, it sucks it out. It's a lot easier than wrestling with it on the grass. I've got an Air 6 and it's Packard away within 5-10 minutes.

    Useful video Pete, thanks.
A couple of additional points. Get someone else to slip off their shoes then walk along just in front of where you're rolling the tent up, that helps easily expel the air. We also find it very useful to have piece of cord to tie the tent up in its bundle once its rolled up, then slip the bag over the tent whilst the latter is on the ground.

Folding both sides to the middle blocks the last of the air from escaping the beams. Suggest folding multiple times from non vent side before rolling.

  • @kimitheworm

The valves are blocked, always fold toward the open valve

  • @yorkshiremix6877

if you leave the door open on a tent it lets the air escape when folding then it doesnt take so long to pack away

We have the Berghaus air 6 and porch we found after a lot of time of my mrs shouting at me that if you fold one end of the tent to halfway in middle then do the same opposite first then bring the sides in and use the bag as a guide for size ,we got the tent in bag with room at the top for pump ,hammer etc also we use 2 tie bands to keep the tent together when putting in bag also remember to deflate excess air with pump and leave side door open in case you need to get to valves so you can pump out more air if it is hard to roll tent.

Does your pump have a deflate function? If it does, it should help get any excess air out of the beams. Then just take your time, others have suggested getting the kids to barrel roll over then tent as you roll them out to help you, it's fun for them and helps squash it down.
