Jungkook was always a main vocal! He was a sub-rapper tho, just like J-hope was the lead rapper and sub-vocal ^u^ But his strong point has always been his R&B influenced vocals and musical-influence, and with each song that he sings and often co-produces, his vocals and musical flavour gets even stronger and more distinct! Like with his other solo song Begin, he was also involved in the making of this song, and personally, even tho I'm not comparing which song I prefer, I think you can tell that JK's improved a lot since then in his singing, both style and technique!! Love my best boy!!!
Minor corrections - Jungkook is the main vocalist ("a" implies more than one in the group, like how JM and JH are both main dancers), and Jungkook is still the sub-rapper. It's just that BTS barely do hip-hop as a group anymore, so we never get to see him rap anymore unless he's filling in for someone. Also Jhope is still lead rapper and sub-vocal. The way you used past-tense makes everything sound like it's in the past :)
@@johnjungkook2721 Ahh you're kind of right, the only reason I guess I used past tense is because our boys have grown past the point of needing these labels? Other than knowing who's vocal line and who's rap line, they've outgrown these minor subdivisions. I wouldn't consider anyone in either the rap or vocal line as 'lead' or 'main', they're all equal for me, and even when they introduce themselves on variety shows or whatever, it's not with their positions but just with their names ^u^
@@Thevitan13 hello there op, i think it's okay not to label them personally but to not acknowledge that member x is the main vocalist, lead vocalist, main dancer, and such is not fair to what they do in terms of their roles. it's not about equality but more so on what they contribute to the team. for example, as main vocalist, jungkook does majority, if not all, the song guides for vocal line and a few of rapline songs, does the most adlibs, harmonies, and background vocals because that's his role. also, i'm a bit confused because bts members always still call jungkook the 'main vocalist' (even in RUN BTS), the same as calling namjoon the leader and jimin and hoseok the main dancers of the group. it's probably because we don't see much about their behind the scenes stuff to have come to that conclusion that they've outgrown it, but as long as they state those are their official positions, it's best to acknowledge them still. these positions are responsibilities bestowed upon them and not mere titles/useless labels that were suddenly just given to them for the sake of having one. :)
loved the reaction! jungkook actually did start out as a singer and was casted by bighit from a singing competition. he became a subrapper after joining bts and is definitely skilled in that area as well, but singing is definitely his strength and niche. from seeing his behind-the-scenes in other songs, i can almost guarantee that a lot of the riffs in this song was made by him while he was jamming in the studio and he put them together. my guy sings riffs as easy as breathing, he's insane!
the thing that most people are upset about lyric videos is mostly the poor translation. lyric blogs are better in terms of accuracy like Doolset, since they even provide wordplay, pop culture and Korean cultural context. also there's many times a colour coded video gets the wrong member singing so yeah.
JK never started as a rapper. He was actually signed as the only singer of the group. He developed his rapping skills and he was so impressive that he became also a sub-rapper. My Time is a gorgeous piece if you can even say such a thing about a song, but to me it truly is and his live performance of it trended world wide after their concert. I have heard other people classifying the song as neo-soul. His voice fits that genre very well.
jungkook's role has always been main vocalist, hes the one with the most lines in their songs and he's almost always doing the background vocals/adlibs in their tracks :) he only used to rap a bit in their early years when the group was more hip-hop focused but his main thing has always been singing.
The Live perfomance will change some of your thoughts, i cant wait. Lol. I often am gobsmacked at people who think fame is easy. 13 year old Jungkook left his Mom and Dad to go thousands of miles to a big city. A huge risk, considering most idols don't make it. A huge risk in general. He lived in a small room with 7 other boys, packed in like sardines. They had nothing. They rehearsed for 16 hours a day. He went to school as well. He took bathroom breaks just to sneak a quick nap. They all lived under the threat of being cut at any time. Everything he did was monitored. Who he saw, where he went, what he wore, what he ate. They all talk about being hungry in the beginning. They finally did get to debut. They got huge amounts of hate. People (the big 3) tried to sabotage their work. And they finally make it and are now the biggest group ever. That amount of fame has it's own difficulties. Everything he does is on display, he is always being filmed or judged. And they still put in crazy hours and strive to be even better. And people think that's easy🤯🤯🤯 Going after your dream and risking it all, isn't easy. You understand the philosophy and psychology behind that statement. Most people can't handle the risk alone. "Fortune favors the bold." What they have done and who he has become is astounding. Bravo 😘💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Oh... it's sad grooving time. I always get so sad when I hear this song but I also just wanna vibe too 😅😅😅😅 This reaction was so much fun; thanks for sharing~
Oh my God, his voice is just perfect. he can do everything with his voice, he can go high low and he can sing multible genres :) he always sounds perfecttt!
I think for the "can i someday find my time" he is more talking about the ways in which he feels disconnected from the things he could have experienced. Everyone everywhere is living in their own time and he constantly feels like he is in "everyone's tomorrow." He wants to find his time, as in his space, his moment because his reality is so different from everyone else's. He feels that because of this he might have missed out on stuff but he wants to find his time, in his reality, as the person he is. Also, this song is on the Map of the Soul 7 album so it carries his identity of being in a group so well. That is why in the end he kind of finds comfort in his own reality and embraces it. His time is now and with the person that he is,. He also mentioned, "happy that we met each other, now to the very end." A good nod to being part of a group and in a career that really requires so much of him. The ending of the song is like an embrace to himself almost like the whole album theme. hehe "I will..." being added instead of "I can't..." also highlights the emotions of wanting to move forward and believing in his time and that he will find it.
actually Jungkook started as a vocalist and rapper (I say rapper because since their debut he rapped till around 2017-18 he stopped rapping in their songs) even tho he rapped he still sang since he’s the main vocalist now he doesn’t rap on their songs as he used too but whenever a member is absent for example when Suga was recovering from his shoulder surgery jungkook did Suga’s part in Life Goes on for HYBE’s News years eve concert
Jungkook is a great vocalist, he is the only one from kpop who is included in the list of artists who have perfect hearing in the World, he has a strong voice and he is very stable regardless of the complexity of choreographies, he is the main vocalist and the central position of the group. my time track is very beautiful, even Beyonce appreciated and she liked the track. I'd love a video of you talking about different spiritual outlooks and philosophies! I think there is a lot to be said with identifying with ourselves rather than the body and name we're given because I don't think there's a single person that can truly say that they, as a whole, are exactly who they portray themselves as. The image other people have of us (whether it's a classmate, a coworker, a friend, sibling, parent, or even someone we just pass on the street) is always going to be different from the image we have of ourselves. We claim our names, but we aren't our names, in a way. I don't know, but I do really like hearing people discuss that type of topic so I think if you're interested in doing a video about that type of thing from whatever perspectives you chose, that would be cool to see!
Sleep deez is one of Beyoncé producers and tweeted that my time was one of Beyoncé favorite songs 💜 she was in love with it and with jungkook voice 🥰 And jk started as a the main vocalist of the group and because he knew how to rapp (he was a sub rapper) and bts bebuts songs consists of a lot of rap he rapped and sung He was the main vocalist (not just as a vocalist) and the others vocalist learned so much from him in his young age which is so impressive. The reason that we don't like lyric videos is not because of monetization, but because many times, the lyrics are not accurate. The place where ARMY gets accurate lyrics with references and sometimes cultural background would be Doolset. There are also Twitter translator accounts that translate the songs, and every translator has a difference. We don't like Jaeguchi and those big translation accounts because the moment the songs drop, they use translating applications that do not accurately translate the songs, which is important because there's a lot of nuance in BTS' songs.
This friday BTS will release a new song "Stay Alive" (produced by Suga and vocals by Jungkook).... it will be available on all paid platforms (eng lyrics will be on youtube)
By the title “My Time” and the phrase “can I someday (we’re gonna ignore the “finna” lmao) find my time” Jungkook is talking about how he feels he’s living on a different time to everyone else, a totally different timeline of his life and his reality is so different to everyone else’s because of how he chose to live his life. It’s quite a complex idea of trying to “find” his time and space, his reality, but I love the concept.
you mentioning jungkook n comparing him to Justin Bieber is interesting bec jungkook really looks up to Justin and is a big fan and ive always thought he might connect a bit with his journey being a child star and all
I have never had a problem with lyric videos they aren’t perfect but they do their best and I appreciate some are better than others but the reactions of people to them is crazy. I love this song and Begin because they really do show what it’s been like for him to grow up and be raised by BTS. His voice and the way his songs are so, dancey for his style of dancing.
I remember when this song dropped I-ARMYs (international ARMYs) were twerking (let’s be real the beat is worthy of twerking) on this bc we didn’t know the lyrics at that times, then came the K-ARMYs for the rescue and they explained the song is actually very deep and quite sad so the happy twerking became sad twerking
The way i heard that those channels get monetized is by adding a clip at the end of their videos of music they own, so that they can copyright their own videos, even if hybe copyrights it, they end up sharing the revenue with hybe’s copyright, but I don’t know the percentage of how much they get of of it but they’re definitely profiting of of it
Yes that is what I saw as well. So if they put an original clip at the end they can claim a portion of the revenue. What percentage I’m not sure but I’ve seen a video detailing how and how much certain channels are earning.
JUNGKOOK is the only member of the group who did not have to audition for BIG HIT, now known as HYBE. JUNGKOOK received offers from 7 companies and decided on BIG HIT because RM was someone he admired and wanted to be part of that team because RM was there. He was a trainer for 2 years and made his debut at the age of 15, he excelled during training and won the prize of going to Los Angeles, California to perfect his dance with new styles. And by the way, it was RM, who baptized him with the GOLDEN MAKNAE of BTS, due to his enormous talent. JUNGKOOK is known in the industry as the triple threat because he can sing, rap and dance. He occupies one of the most responsible positions and as RM said, JK, he has no replacement. He is the Main Vocalist, the Sub Rapper, the Center of the presentations, he is the main dancer and guide of the team what they call the Lead Dancer and one of the group's visuals. JUNGKOOK, is a versatile artist, who can interpret any musical genre and is responsible for almost all the song guides, he is the one who does most of the harmonizations, adlibs, melissma, and background vocals and sings acapella on many occasions and has just been listed alongside Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Ariana Grande and other celebrities who have the Pitch Perfect. The Ida S Channel has a video called JUNGKOOK the Main Vocalist of BTS by Ida S 😊🤗🙋💜
Thank you for your beautiful reaction to this song! JK wanted to become a singer who would touch people's souls with his voice!! what do you think? I can't even define what it feels like to hear JK sing, and My Time is shocking, it's his vulnerability made into a song! How no to love him?
you need to listen to his song Begin. He wrote about bts as his big brothers and what they did for him. Its really touching and has such an amazing lyrics
I get why you compare him with JB over this matter but let's be real jk worked way harder than JB, like permanent dance practice then preparing album then start the cycle all over again.
@ 4:10 it is simple... it is usually easy to say because they're not in that position or not experience it. That's why it is really important to respect one's journey and be more understanding.
there's a song/demo of jungkooks called decalcomania where he basically talks about him as a person and him as his persona if you wanna check it out!!! He never released the full version though and he said that he accidentally deleted the file or something like that
About the name thing, it got me thinking a bit. I was rewatching one of their documentary movies lately, and there was a part where J-hope said that he would have a hard time reintroducing himself as Jung Hoseok the day that BTS is no more. It got me thinking about the divide, whether intentional or subconscious, between their stage personas and their everyday life selves. To some extent, the divide would be easier for the members who have stage names, like RM & Suga because there's a physical difference between their stage and their self. I think it would be harder for Jimin and Jungkook since they use their real names as their stage names. I can connect it to My Time in a sense that Jungkook talks about wanting his personal time as Jeon Jungkook, not as Jungkook of BTS.
I think when Jungkook says “can I someday finna find my time” he is asking can he now find his time while also saying that he is going to find his time. This is what he is saying throughout the song. He is asking himself is it his time now to do things he wants or longed to do but then the next verse he is actually getting the time he missed back.
Also I don't know if you noticed the difference, but there is a resolution to the song. In the first two choruses, he asks if he can do all those things. But in the last chorus, he says that he will do all those things. It's a paradox of sorts that the position they are in now allows him to do all those things that he had missed out on his youth, to a certain extent. Considering the Jungian themes of the album, Map of the Soul, where this song is from, you could say that it is a self-aware reflection of missing his youth, but at the same time it's a connection to one of his previous songs, Begin, where he thanks the members for making him who he is.
The guitar instrumental is from the outro of the bts song tomorrow (produced by suga and slow rabbit), though i guess they played around with it a little (pitch and/or speed wise? idk 😅). If you like those types of guitars, you’ll notice them in lots of suga’s productions (I know Sleep produced this one, I just wanted to mention it). My Time is just wonderful, I’m still obsessed with it. The outro vocals are heaven.
You should watch The Rise of bangtan you can watch it on RUclips it's honestly the best documentary series I've seen especially done by fans, it's very insightful.
So I see a bit of confusion in the comments in reference to the lyrics of this song: Yes lyric videos tend to have inconsistencies HOWEVER, in the case of “can I someday finna find my time” that is not a typo or anything like that. Jungkook wrote this and when it was in production SleepDeez (producer and writer) assisted in revising lyrics and working on the song. He stated before on twitter what the purpose “finna” has in the song. He said they felt it helped explain the emotions he was feeling. Sleep says, “can I someday? (Asking for permission) finna find my time (he doesn’t need permission I’m gonna get what I’m looking for I.e my time)”. It has purpose I swear 😂
React to Jungkook covers You will know how impressive vocalist from the start Jungkook Sofa cover ( 2014 cover) Jungkook 2U cover ( 2016 cover) Jungkook only then cover Jungkook Nothing like us cover Jungkook IF you live cover by ( Mel Galarza channel) Jungkook runs and riffs you will hear in his 2014 cover Sofa
This song is Co written by Jungkook and RM. the audio lyrics always have translation mistakes. Jungkook the main vocalist of the group. Young talented boy. This song is difficult to sing namjoon said but for JK it's not a difficult task.
Linton, it's interesting that you mention Justin Bieber in correlation to shared experienced him and JK may have starting young in the industry. The emotions and experiences parallel Justin's song Lonely. He takes a lot about being a young kid making mistakes and not giving time to grow up and make mistakes. Looking in the mirror not being able to see who he is. That old school R&B is in part to the Producer Sleep Deez who has produced for Beyoncé, Eric Bellinger, Chris Brown. **EDIT: okay I see you looked up Sleep, LOL***
One thing that are different korean idols and American artists is that kpop idols that when they're a trainee they leave home and live and breathe only the industry no personal life at all till they're done which probably a yr or 2... so more sad for those young kpop idols
you know i love ur reactions so i watch them over and over again and i noticed that you didnt know what finna means (whats not a problem at all) Finna means ,,fixing to'' its a slang word so he basically says ,,Can i find somebody who can fix my time'' :) hope this helps you
and when you mentioned JB EXACTLY !!!!!the difference is JK was not alone he had the boys with him…JB was completely alone with only adults around him. it ended up with 2 different results
They put their lyrics up within 10 minutes and butcher them, which is incredibly important to us, there’s no love or care there, they definitely don’t do it to serve the music. There are some made by army and people who care about translation, but they will have less views because they’re not rushed.
The reason why we dont like lyric vids is bcs most of the time its inaccurate AND it would've been better to give those views to the official MVs by their company itself yknow

😊🤗🙋💜
Thank you for your beautiful reaction to this song! JK wanted to become a singer who would touch people's souls with his voice!! what do you think? I can't even define what it feels like to hear JK sing, and My Time is shocking, it's his vulnerability made into a song! How no to love him?
you need to listen to his song Begin. He wrote about bts as his big brothers and what they did for him. Its really touching and has such an amazing lyrics
The producer, and my friend Sleep Deez. Talented.
I follow him on stan Twitter. He's so humble and a true ARMY. 💜
💜💜💜
Its literally like you read my mind! I just find out abt this song and was hoping for a reaction. Thank you 🤗
AHHH I just love your videos and your reactions. Hope everything is good 🤌🏻✨
His a talented person and his voice is perfect. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Jungkook wrote this song based on his experience how he felt about growing from baby to adult 💜😍
Love this song
there's a song/demo of jungkooks called decalcomania where he basically talks about him as a person and him as his persona if you wanna check it out!!!
Sleepdeez is awesome!
But you should’ve watched the live performance for this! Love love love it sooo much!
I love your reaction 💕 i really love your words so good makes me happy 🥲+ also jungkook love justin bieber
Junkook may favourite boy ❣️
i love how you combine both music and philosophy together! your videos are amazing
I love My Time its a song that actually makes me sing!!
You should watch The Rise of bangtan you can watch it on RUclips it's honestly the best documentary series I've seen especially done by fans, it's very insightful.
DJ Sleep is actually really active with ARMYs on twitter lol
Jungkook voice is everything🥺.. Jk loves justin so much, & I think U're right about those 2😍💜💜💜💜💜
Sleep is awesome xD Much respect to him
Jungkook co-produced my time
if you look up the credits Jk did the lyrics but the producers are Sleep Deez and Pdogg :)
@@jasminalopez4618 maybe he didn't have enough to get credit but sleep dezz said he helped
He wrote not produce
lmao no, he didn’t start out as a rapper. Jungkook was always, ALWAYS a singer, he just did some rapping too on the debut songs! He’s not a raper
yyyaaayyy omg finally 😆😆😆😆😆
💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
❤❤❤❤❤
Ur intro is sooo cool
jungkooks solos 🙏🙏🙏🙏 god bless they keep the earth rotating
So I see a bit of confusion in the comments in reference to the lyrics of this song:
Yes lyric videos tend to have inconsistencies HOWEVER, in the case of “can I someday finna find my time” that is not a typo or anything like that.
It has purpose I swear 😂
believe me this has been said and explained a bazillion times already but some pathetic haters simply just want to act dumb.
Doesn’t Finna mean finally aswell? Like he’s saying can I someday finally find my time?

Nunca pare de reagir, por favor! 😭❤️
Fun fact: Beyonce actually appreciated this song.
One thing that are different korean idols and American artists is that kpop idols that when they're a trainee they leave home and live and breathe only the industry no personal life at all till they're done which probably a yr or 2... so more sad for those young kpop idols
الترجمة العربيه😭😭😭😭😭🤌🏻
please react to “jungkook doesn’t need any autotune”
My time song is hard to perform bcs of its fast rhythm. And the continuous runs
you know i love ur reactions so i watch them over and over again and i noticed that you didnt know what finna means (whats not a problem at all) Finna means ,,fixing to'' its a slang word so he basically says ,,Can i find somebody who can fix my time'' :) hope this helps you
and when you mentioned JB EXACTLY !!!!!the difference is JK was not alone he had the boys with him…JB was completely alone with only adults around him. it ended up with 2 different results
Please react to stay by jungkook and suga
*inserts the oh my god meme

Please react to the live performance with dance break
Hey, Wilson! Can you check BTOB - Movie too? That song is MASTERPIECE ✨
how you feel it
Please react to ADVICE by TAEMIN
Great reaction. However, what do you think when people look like their name? Especially, people focus so much on their family’s name?
They put their lyrics up within 10 minutes and butcher them, which is incredibly important to us, there’s no love or care there, they definitely don’t do it to serve the music. There are some made by army and people who care about translation, but they will have less views because they’re not rushed.
wait what happened to ur channel????
it's been hacked :(
I'm trying my best to get it back
@@anotheropinion4021 oh no :( i was so confused on what was happening. i really hope you can get your channel back from whoever hack it😖
The reason why we dont like lyric vids is bcs most of the time its inaccurate AND it would've been better to give those views to the official MVs by their company itself yknow
“Trippin’” not “strippin.”
He did not start as a rapper. Can people stop with this false and tired narrative already.
