I have decided that the Beier is the way to go for me in my first build and also that Radiolink looks good and feels great in your hand. This video series will be invaluable to me. Thank you
I am going to order the Beier SFR-1 toghter with the Bluetooth lightmodule for the trailer and your vids are going to help me a lot to instal the system 👍👍
25:40, We appreciate you going SLOW through the video, at least I do! I'm FINALLY getting around to trying to get my Beier SFR1 programmed for my project truck! The truck is still a few months away from being built, but I figured I'd get a start on programming this thing.
THANK YOU BOB!!!!! 🍻👌👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Can't WAIT for part 2! I finally feel like I'm getting somewhere with this. I can apply much of this to the USM-RC-2. I'm going to TRY to use SBus on my FlySky FS-i6x.... It HAS it, it's just not 100% clear as to HOW (like all of FlySky Manuals)😠 But since the USM-RC-2 only has 2 Channels left (after Throttle and Steering), SBus should be the answer. Thank you again for doing this, for some of your more "thick headed" followers (like THIS Old Fart!!)
Great videos. I learned a lot and have switched my unit to SBUS. Lights and sound are working fantastic. The only issue I can't seem to fix is that I don't have reverse just forward? I must have something programed wrong but I cannot find it. I am using an ORX TX10i transmitter.
Bob.... This will almost be my Template for my Stretch Globe Liner build. (King Hauler Frame though) I do NEED to rewire the whole rear Bumper on my Grand Hauler! - I did NEGATIVE Ground!!! 😖😣😠 You used SO MANY LESS Wires. That's how I need to do it. 👌 I need to Sell my other, unused USM-RC-2, and get the USM-RC-3 for my Liner.... It does what I need it to do. With a 10 Channel FlySky Receiver for my FS-i6X - and I'll be set!!
Your videos are a life saver! Appreciate everything you do Bob! I was curious though, in recent conversations in the Facebook group it seemed that you preferred a 3s lipo but this truck you didn’t use one, just wondering if there was a reason, thanks
I'd like to ask a possibly foolish question. I'm more comfortable with a pistol-grip style controller, and I've settled into the FlySky FS-GT5 and the FS-BS6 six-channel system. ... With the gyro stabilizer, because why not. I've driven real Freightliners for fifteen years, and yes, getting sideways under power is a real thing we can do. I'm seeing that the Beier system has some pretty deep programming capacity. However the GT5 has six channels, and Ch3 is a +100/-100 switch. Is the current Beier system able to use that as a switch signal, to multiplex the three-position Ch4, and the proportional 5 and 6, to basically double the available functions?
Yes, the GT5 would work OK with the Beier system. You would get good functionality with the switches. Mot as good as a stick radio but could still get lots of sounds and light functions. In general stick radios work much much better.
Question: Is it still needed to use the radio in plane mode, or can you also use it in car mode? I know with the MFC it is needed because of the dual rate functions, but is this still needed for the Beier SFR-1? I like it better if the radio can be in car mode rather than plane mode.
With the SFR you can use the radio in any mode and dual rates are not required. Sometimes you can use dual rates to make some lighting functions easier to use but not required. You also do no need a centering left stick if you don't want it. You can have a full travel throttle stick and use a switch to select fwd/rev.
@@HobbyconceptsLLCthanks for the reply! So if I already have the fs-i6 and I want to use the Beier system wouldn it be best to get a new radio or are they still compatible?
I guess what I’m really asking is how do I get an AT10ll that’s modified with centering left stick. I searched with no luck. Will you be offering them for sale on your site? BTW, that globe liner is beautiful! And, I love your channel. Great information on my newest endeavor of the rc hobby. Slowly building up to having a fully rc simulated dirt working site. Can you do a vid on a full 6x6 with locking diffs conversion?
Hello Bob I just wanted to know does your sound systems pretty much do everything lights and sound effects or they're all separately and if so how much is the price on them
Couldn't do this without you Bob. Your teaching is invaluable. Thank you.
Over 2 years later im here trying to learn how to do it haha

What an amazing time to be into RC trucks!!! Might use this in my next build.
This is the best and most informative RC video I have seen yet. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thank You!
You make it look so easy sir. I have just received my first beier sfr1 and I'm terrified. Great video

Hi Bob, appreciate your videos. Have you done one showing how to create flashing LEDs, for example in the front of a truck??
By the way Bob the most beautiful truck I ever seen thank you so much for sharing the video
Always the best explanation for installations.. Thank you
Thanks Bob! thanks to your tips I was able to get S-BUS on FS-I6X and Beier USM-RC-2 i have 10ch and everything working fine :)
Awesome review. I wish there was a video like this 4 years ago for my 870k loader.
THANK YOU BOB!!!!! 🍻👌👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Amazing number of options can you do one for the USM-RC3 on an excavator
Wooow! Great, as always Bob! Thanks for sharing!
So much fun
Love this build. Great work you do with all the information you give. Bummer you dont ship to australia

Awesome video!!😁😇🤔😎💯👍👍👍👍👍👍 Mr. Bob sir! I will purchase the beir electronic system. 🤔🥳🤯💯👍👍👍😁

Great job 👍
Good stuff as usual :)
Do you have a guide on how to make your own leds ?
thank you!!!!!👍👍
Hi Bob have you done a video with a SFR-1 and a Flysky PL18 EV transmitter?
Not yet but very soon. It works fantastic!
@@HobbyconceptsLLC awesome I look forward to it
Hey bob, Can you add a vibration motor to this? I'm curious.
Probably but I have not done it myself. I am not that hot on the vibration units myself anyway.
i wished you videoed the headlights i can't get them to work

Hi 👋 I’m not a computer buff for this system so can I borrow Winston to help me out.
Hey bob The wires in the kit are perfect for cab, how do I get longer wire for rear?
Just solder more wire on. I like this wire: www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q3G1VG2?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details
@@HobbyconceptsLLC thank you
Hi Bob I'm new to the world of rc trucks and construction vehicles. Do you build to sell rc trucks and construction vehicles
Hello,
Wat kind of transmitter you have there?
Mode 1 or mode 2?
Very Nice truck, i have the Scania r620 with the Beier sfr1.
Greetings Fons.
Mode 2

Ok, are the sticks coming back in the center autmatic?
Also is there a Jacob brake sound you can add?
Oh Yeah! facebook.com/groups/648718772583781/posts/1245311056257880
@@HobbyconceptsLLC awesome just load one and apply it. 👍that’s cool
Does the flysky fsi6 that comes woth your super package deal have sbus?
The FS-i6 does not but the FS-i6x 10 channel does.

Bob are all the Beier units + ground or just the top of range SFR-1?
All of them are positive common.
How much do you charge to built one
Two questions…..what radio are you using and where do I get one? And…Why couldn’t you use the frame as your ground?
It looks like a Radiolink AD10
Radio Link AT10II radio. I suppose you could use the frame as the common but to me that would be more hassle than it's worth.
