I’ve never had an issue with belts on mine i have stock power steering pump pulley and a Ross gold balancer in stock size I don’t have ac delete just a ac compressor chilling 😂. even when we used to rev mine to 7k. maybe look at that power steering pump pulley or the ac delete pulley may not be aligned perfectly . It’s good to see someone else having a blast with a Barra in a 4 door skyline 👌
Yeah, i've got a brand new powersteering pump to chuck on it, im wondering if it has something to do with the underdrive pulley and a stock lenght belt over-stretching but well just have to see. barra swapped skylines go hard tho!
@ yeah I think you will find that’s the issue I’ve only killed one pump in 5 years of the Barra being in it never ran under drive just a decent sized cooler after first one died
Hey mate if they do end up getting loose they only way for them never to back out is to weld them put 1 or 2 tacks on each bolt. Have done it to heaps of barras and never had a issue
I was tossing this up originally but I think the dowels and retainer plate have sorted the issue, a lot more effort than just welding them though haha.
@@Bejayh not really honestly, I noticed that it’s definitely more front heavy so it’s a bit touchier on the brakes when at angle but it’s very similar other than that

All I've heard with Barras is the drive belts and power steering pumps being issues. I wonder if they are related. Looking good on track though.
