Hey i need help , so when you do select similar you have area and all that list . Whereas i don't have that , how should i select the area n add color ?

Heya! Just to be sure: are you in "face mode" (3 on your numpad)? Because the "Select Similar" menu changes depending on the type of mesh element you're currently editing (vertex, edge or face)...
