Miller and woo are cy young possibles. A first baseman who hasn’t even touched the potential you talked about is way undervaluing them. It would have to be Mayer or Campbell as a headliner and even that’s not enough because they’re unproven. Casas hasn’t proven anything either. Woo and Miller have. Also first base is not a high valued position like pitchers are.
What is it with people not understanding the only way the Mariners trade a pitcher is to free up some payroll to get even more hitters. We are NOT trading a pitcher on the league minimum. Period.
The proposed trade is ridiculous. They need pitching but trading Cases is a bad idea. They should trade from their depth. The Sox have extra left handed outfielders and middle infielders. Keep Cases ⚾
As a Ms fan I dont want seattle to make this trade either as I have more faith in Castios chances to boost the lineup vs Tristan. I think the young man is a stud but I value high end rotation pitching that is controllable to be more valuable than 1b/dh type players so IMO the value here doesnt add up which is where the issue is between the two sides as both sides love their piece. I say no deal here and DEFINATELY no chance on a brice or woo trade not to mention the value of miller or woo isnt even close to that of castio due to proven track record, controllability and inflated pitching market. I hate to be a bear of bad news for boston fans but there is near zero chance they move.
Casas for miller or woo?! 😂😂😂. Casas is not even worth Castillo, 1st baseman hold very little value in FA and this kid can’t even stay healthy at 24. Seattle doesn’t need a 1st baseman anyways, they have Luke Raley who’s basically a better version of casas
So Yoshida would never work, he makes 18 million, Seattle will never trade for players who cost more for a highly controllable arm with top 20 stuff. The Seattle starters all rank in about the top 35 pitchers in baseball, so the only one available is Castillo who has a sub 2 ERA in playoff games and actually makes some money which is the only reason he is available. Also highly doubt Seattle would want Casas because they had this guy named Lewis who was amazing but had repeated injuries early in his career and they basically released him, because repeated injuries spell the end for most players. Six years comtrol for a lemon is still a lemon.
Miller ranked top 15 in baseball, Woo 25. Both 5yrs of control. So they would cost 2times what you gave up for Crochet. Dont think you can afford them . Gilbert ranked 8th same as Burnes. So it would cost 2 of your top 3, Casas , and a pitcher, probably for any of those 3. Maybe more
That trade is trash. Casas shouldn't go anywhere for anyone who isn't an absolute stud. Why give up a gold glove first baseman who will have a 380+ OBP and bang out 30-40 HR for an aging pitcher who is no longer dominant.......................plain stupid and desperate. Castillo had a 3.6 ERA, that is a 3rd starter not an ace.
@@broose5240 Ok but it was also only his second year and missed most of it. I'm positive Casas is going to grow into an all star type 1st baseman. Just my opinion I could be wrong, but Casas is special.
@@broose5240 And it took David Ortiz 8 years before he found out who he was, he sucked with the Twins for 7 years. The kid is 24 years old and in his only somewhat healthy year where he still missed a month he hit 24 HR and had an OBP 100 points above his batting average and had an OPS+ of 129. He has never not been above league average in OPS+. And what are you talking about he has never had a slug below 400. His lowest slug is 408 and he only played 27 games lol. And last year he was battling injuries. His only healthy year his slug was nearly 500.

It seems like every day you’re saying a trade is incoming or there’s some major report, or big update
I had to turn off the notifications

Miller or Woo is going to cost you a lot more than Casas and a top 25 prospect.
Their splits aren’t all that good. Away from home, they’re ok.
@ lol Now let’s look at Casas’ stats.

No need to panic trade. Players will be available as teams drop out of contention. Do they need more pitching? Absolutely

Good…you can keep Castillo.

Don't do it unless ve have Vladie in Boston
Who do we get just castillo
The best trade are the ones you dont make
We only get castillo what if we put one of are young outfielder

His splits showed he hits for power only home not away. 5 to 1 im sure Seattle wont want Casas

@@graham5990 ya seattle told boston he is built for finway. He could regress. 360 slug is not a good 1st baseman

Absolutely STUPID trade. NO!
Not interested in mock trades, mock trades is only because there too Cheap to spend money like they said they would, Bye
Lol, Castillo is the only pitcher Boston could get back for Casas.
