This was so beautiful Christie. I too have lost my mother to cancer and we liked nothing more than shopping together and have lunch . I miss her so much and when I see mothers and daughters shop and lunch, hurts my heart a little. Sending you hugs and thank you for your wonderful video.

Thank you for sharing your story and tips! My mom was my shopping buddy as well and when she passed, I hated the idea of shopping. I went through a period of bitterness whenever I would see other mother/daughters shopping together. Thankfully, time passed and I began to heal. Now, whenever I go shopping, I smile and remember all the fond memories I had with my mom.
I'm so glad the memories turned around for you as time healed.
This is the second time I've heard you share the touching story about you and your Mom and both times it has brought tears to my eyes. You are such a beauty and an inspiration, Christie. 💗
"Messy action". LOVE IT! I have the perfectionist's tendency to want to wait until everything is in place and perfect. I've adopted the "Just Do It" slogan to push myself. And now I have "Take Messy Action" to add to my roster of motivational thoughts!

I'm always so touched by the story of your Mum's Easter outfit. I am currently battling breast cancer, and my 24 year old daughter is my very best friend, too. I wish she didn't live across the country. :)
You have transformed my image of myself. I don't get dressed everyday right now as I just don't have the energy. Every time I get dressed to go to the oncology clinic, I get at least one compliment on my appearance. One appointment day I was chatting with a fellow patient in the waiting room. She had recently received the same diagnosis as me. I was in the process of IV chemo and had already lost my hair. When they called her back I heard her say to the medical assistant, "Wow! That lady is so knowledgeable, and she doesn't even look sick. She looks great!" I had to whisper to myself, "Thanks, Christie!"
Oh, that brought me to tears, thank-you for sharing! ♥️🙏🏻 wishing and praying for you and a speedy recovery ♥️

I had a similar experience as you in highschool! I wanted to wait to go to college but ended up caving into pressure from the enrollment counselor at AI and pursued an apparel design degree at AI of portland. Minimum 3 to 4 hour classes were not my vibe. I ended up going in the direction of photography, and although I love it, I keep getting drawn back to fashion. I'm all about working from anywhere now and online personal styling sounds like such a great option to fuel my creative fire and allow me to work online! Great video!
