Man, you'd think an institution that's been producing television for, *checks notes* nearly 100 years, would have learned how to normalize their audio levels, but here we are...
Nice footage - but the female voice sounds a bit AI - is it? Heard it before I think. Or has her voice been used or copied to elsewhere? Just asking as it's a bit flat, monotone and distinctly reminds me of AI voices. All very off-putting when you want to watch and think about nature and what is going on with our planet.
Oh I just noticed people are saying elsewhere that they believe Attenborough's voice been changed? I haven't listened to that yet. So it's not just me and this part of the trailer definitely sticks out like a sore thumb. It makes you wonder what other parts of the footage are AI which I would be greatly worried about. It's all good and well amazing people with terrific images but these should be realistic and truthful. Increasingly, elsewhere, we are seeing moves away from this tenet in order to prioritise "engagement" over veracity. I hope the BBC is staying away from that route!
