one of my favorite things abt igaguri's character that i realized a while ago is that even tho in the start he said his weapon was his relentless spirit, he really meant that as in he will keep fighting as hard as he can in the only way's he knows how. honestly thats true ego in my opinion, using whatever you can to stay in the game and never giving up no matter who you're up against.
Can't rly agree. Ego needs to include some growth, and his is.. pretty much the same as downloading Minecraft hacks for winning in skywars? Ego told them from the start that they need to turn 0 into 1, with a repeatable process. Igaguri tho? Hmm
I don't think he's the most hated, Isagi's friend that missed the goal and he calls Isagi just lucky after scoring in U20 is the most hated Either him or Kaiser's dad

Even though I believe Igaguri will not be on the U-20 team, I feel like he'll always be around for the rest of the series unlike Naruhaya or Kira (Sorry Kira believers...) I think the sports commentator idea is perfect for him.
The description of fairness and sportsmanship is important and I never seen him as a bad/cheating guy. His spirit and his later skill are risky, no cheating. And the Reo-part is true. I like him as a player and his playstyle, but as a character, he is not great:Hanging on Nagi all the time and his motivation a lot of times is Nagi, being at this level in very short time, pretty privilege…He is not the worst person, though I‘m surprised he is not much lower in my estimation.
Fantastic video! I was one of those viewers who wasn’t fond of him at all. However, after watching this video, I’ve realized that I too have been in situations where I had to be creative and think outside the box to compensate for my perceived or genuine lack of skills. I’ve worked alongside talented and knowledgeable individuals and stood out because I’ve taken a different approach than my peers to compensate for such gaps.
I'd say that his desire the not return back to the temple is not an ego to become better and better consistently in blue lock. Afterall, each and every player strives to be the best. However, Igaguri motivation is more self centred which is ok but it makes try more to survive in blue lock rather than thrive. There are many other carriers he could choose to get out of his temple and it just so happens that football is one of them. Maybe the writer tried to display that you need to strive to become the best if you want to survive in blue lock.
I always thought Igaguri, Raichi, and Kunagami were there to show what the absence of certain qualities does to a player. Kunagami was unlucky in the second selection, because even though he had the talent to succeed it, an underdeveloped world-class talent and an unlucky match against a player who misevaluated the skill of his team almost kicked him out of the project. Raichi, despite having solid fundamentals and decent luck, lacks uniqueness, making it difficult for him to make the top spots. Igaguri, a unique player who got very lucky with his teammates, lacked solid fundamentals, meaning he couldn't 'keep up' with the level of play needed to make it onto the Ubers. He might have done better with Latvinho (who may have been able to inspire new ways to utilize his playstyle) or Chris (who could have trained his fundamentals to a point where he could keep up). But it should be noted that, regardless of who he chose, Isagi's physicality, which started at Igaguri's level, has improved far past it at this point in the series. This proves both that it is a trainable quality and the Igaguri, despite desperately wanting to get away from the temple, neglected it. I guess that could be considered a mindset problem, especially as Isagi's physical growth seems to stem from him stealing other player's personal training regimes, but I see it more as a way of showing that top players cannot be bad at their game, despite what the audience may think of their performance.
Now with Ness completely abandoned by Kaiser, what are your thoughts on Reo? Will he make it? Or is he slowing Nagi down? Could he become another Hiori? Or is he just another Ness...
Its just beyond plot amour that this guy is still in bluelock. Every kid can play better football than this joke. They deliberatly made Kurogami, Isagi and Bachira miss him or not attacking him. We didn't saw how made 100 goals or how he survived the team games.
Halfway trough the vid and it's a banger ! Wanted to add my piece about fairness / cheating : I was fairly competitive in my younger years, mainly football in highschool and fighting games afterwards 1. in football, something like earning a foul, "playing dirty", are definitely skills. By the end of the day, what you need is winning, so if leaving your right foot hanging sometimes when you enter the box can be the difference between a win and a lose, trust me you will do it. Same for tactical fouls. Is it dirty ? yes, definitely. But unless you get a redcard, everything stays inside the boundaries of the rules, so by definition it's "fair" 2. in fighting games, you obviously look for what you opponnent hates the most and don't know how to deal with, and you DO that. But it get's crazier, as if you're in tournament and play side by side, depending on your opponent's controler you can hear his inputs (wether you want it or not). And players have been abusing this for the longest time. This comes very very close to cheating, BUT both of you can hear it so, wether you want to use it at your advantage is up to you. Your opponent definitely will. Those examples do come close to selling your soul for victory.
Okay “just an assist” is crazy when he destroyed Uber’s defense multiple times with his dribbling, the team that specialized in defense. But yeah, it was lower because he missed a shot so Igaguri is fs going to get an offer, I’m kinda curious what’s gonna happen to the Author’s wonder boy.
How can you NOT root for Igaguri my man’s clearly not making it through this selection and he’s not hanging with anyone on the field but he’s here trying to make his dream happen by any means fighting for his fking life the only ways he can 😂 I for one am gonna miss my boy when he’s eliminated tho lol

But I doubt he will. Igaguri's best trait is his, as said by him "Never give up attitude." he has the ego to keep going no matter how hard it is, his most redeemable trait, and that type of determination leads to change.
I never really knew why theywere hating on him but I lovedthe writing he had on the sidelines its like hes a second mc
Yea you should change the end screen. The colors red and black don't quite fit each other.
Spicy video
The thumbnail bro
i just want him to become the blue lock version of aiku
I think Shidou and Igaguri both seem like kids from very controlling households, who are using soccer as an escape.
so his weapon is flopping?
I agree with you full heartedly.
Does Isagi do anything in the blue lock besides being impressed by the other players' skills?
i like the monk, he is the weakest link and im here for it
i feel so bad i was hating on him so much just so that a "nicer" character like Nanase can survive instead of him now I've stopped and reviewed him and he ended up being just like teenage me except he took the extra leap and stopped being sports man like
Just put the fries in the bag.
Igaguri actually does have an assist. He hit a nice cross into the goal box for Kuon to header it in. Even if Kuon was cheating, it doesn't diminish the quality of the pass.
Ao ashi content pls
