    Nice wheeling! Very scary with the gunfire! My son and I have experienced gunfire while out wheeling as well, but never that close and never hearing bullets landing around us, but it's still has always freaked us out because you just never know. I was thinking a better way of getting the shooter's attention may have been to honk your horns.

      Thank you!! Yes it was a little scary once we realized the bullets were coming our way.

    So glad nobody was hurt and Kiwi was recovered. Basic firearms safety: be sure of your target and what's beyond it. I hope those guys learned a valuable lesson they never forget.

      Thank you very much! I appreciate you watching. I am happy everyone is OK as well, the best results considering the circumstances.

    Glad that you were able to find Kiwi, I'm a dog person so I know the stress you went through until you found her. I'm also glad that you survived the irresponsible target shooters.
    Keep the videos coming, I'm a fellow Albertan that has recently retired and is hoping to do more backcountry exploring this summer. However, I'm just healing up from knee replacement surgery but your videos are keeping me excited about this coming summer.

      Thank you for watching!!! I hope you heal up fast and get to do some exploring. Ya super happy we found Kiwi, I was so worried about her.

    You should get a gps tracker for Kiwi's collar. Anything can spook a dog out there or if they catch wind of an animal they may run after it. Maybe honking your horns might have stopped the idiots. Scary stuff.

      A GPS tracker is a great idea. I will look into one.

    Cool video, that area looks awesome. I hope we have that much show in 2 more weeks, because it makes for a gorgeous drive through the snow covered trees. Also glad your alright. As a gun owner that is pretty damn irresponsible, and dangerous. Some people just have no clue

    Omg I am so glad you are all ok 😮. So scary. Start blasting horns if you have to to get them to stop. Yikes. They should’ve had a back stop and a secure zone to fire in. 😡. Glad your puppy is back safely as well. 😊

      Thanks you! Yes agreed they needed to take a little more care and attention with their backstop

    I have winter camped exactly in the same spot you did.
    Of all the places to do some shooting, why there?? There are no excuses for taking shots along that road, in fact it's illegal. Just glad you are all ok.

      Thank you, I am happy everything turned out OK. It was not a place to set up a gun range for sure.

    Wow! Glad you and the rest of you are okay. Looks nice out there. People need to be more responsible. Anyone including myself should aways check the area before shooting a gun. I ve see people just about shoot each other hunting. Not look past the animal. Anyway, another great video. Looking forward to getting out with you guys sometime

    Jeez… scary, so many safe options around to fire into a hill side. Zero sense.

    Annnnd now they’re banning firearms out there 🙄

    • @OverlandAlberta
      @OverlandAlberta  3 месяца назад

      That is not the answer! It is always the few that wreck it for everyone. I do not have the answers but banning is not the solution.

    Side note I love hunter valley road, such a nice road to drive

    Just when you think your safe in the woods away from people. All it takes is one bullet. Why werent they using a backdrop for shooting. Not very intelligent.

      Ya it made for an exciting camp out!! Thankfully after they left it was real peaceful

    The gun thing only adds fuel to the fire about gun seizure in the future. Gun users are responsible except for the few idiots whom are responsible for all restrictive legislation. Good example is the crazy dentist in NS.

    • @OverlandAlberta
      @OverlandAlberta  9 месяцев назад +1

      I agree, I am all for guns and gun ownership. It is the few that ruin it.

      If someone suggested banning firearm use in PLUZ's, after seeing this and as a responsible firearms user myself who had a loaded 12 gauge pointed at him by a neighbouring camper last summer... I wouldn't have a valid argument against 🤷‍♂
      Who shoots in a popular camping area in the first place!?!?

    Dumdums with guns a bad mix! Take your firearms to an official gun range like all of us responsible owners do.Also snow wheeling looks like so much fun just wish had like minded offroaders up here in the lakeland area.😀

      Stupid comment. No reason to pay for a range… having a brain goes along way when out shooting
