    Looking forward to seeing season 3. Ever since i watched the first episode i absolutely love this show. Wish there were more events around Minnesota to be honest but the NWT makes the choices. Either way i will absolutely continue to watch all the events. Awesome seeing the pros kicked back and actually making it fun to watch. Max Wilsons energy makes it hard to not watch this series. All in all, awesome job guys. Keep the series coming. Tight lines!

    This series has really been an inspiration in creativity. You all do such a bang up job getting the meat of the competition with those guys you follow. You picked some great characters and created another amazing episode. Thanks for pushing the limits for production and sending it all season. Maybe we'll see you all next season starting in SD!

    Thanks for creating this series, very well produced and really shows the up and downs of tournament fishing. If anyone has some tips for a Canadian coming to compete in Lake Sharpe 2025 and a place to stay it would be appreciated!

      I used to as well pre-FFS days. I have no desire to simply drive around with trolling motor on high and only cast to the “tourney grade” fish. It is simply my belief that you shouldn’t know all this and have to actually make casts and determine whether you stay or go based upon thebsize of fish, or catch rates you are experiencing. FFS has taken all of that out of the game and all that is left is this; how well you can read the fish on your TV monitor to trigger the bites based upon lure/cadence etc. And it’s not like you have a choice if you want to seriously compete….the technology is unbelievable yes - I would just like to see it turned off on tournament days. Just one guys opinion.

      @ I see your point. To each their own I guess. I personally would like to compete at that level to see where I would stand with some of the best doing it. Just don’t really have the financial capability. Some think you can do it on any old rig, maybe once. You can’t consistently be as good as these guys without a fast boat, water capable, and a good map with live imaging.

    These should be C&R tournaments when you do them all on massive lakes. Said it himself. Those walleyes take a beating.

    6-8 footers?!?!?! Some peeps need to learn how to accurately read wave height. As a long time sea kayak guide on lake superior, I'd say those were maybe 3-5 at most.

    • @TackleandTags
      @TackleandTags 2 месяца назад +3

      Never look as big on video I’m sure they were quite large!

    • @paigemay6112
      @paigemay6112 2 месяца назад +1

      @TackleandTags I know video makes it deceiving, but I'm just saying.... having surfed PLENTY in 6-8 foot waves, and larger, there's no way it was anywhere near that size on that day. It takes significantly stronger wind across that amount of open water (lake Huron) to create waves that size. Even a small craft advisory issued by NOAA typically only states off as 2-4'. Clearly there was no small craft advisory that day, because they were allowed to go out and fish.

      2 things are true in life.
      1. Waves look way smaller on camera
      2. People have no idea how to estimate wave height and almost always say they are bigger than they are.

    Are the co anglers just there to net fish and get the pro a sandwich if they are hungry?

    • @TheProf17009
      @TheProf17009 2 месяца назад

      Ya - really curious on this myself. This tournament the co barely fished. Did the pros not want the co to fish at times? Weird…

    • @tagger1972
      @tagger1972 2 месяца назад +2

      @@TheProf17009 It's a matter of physical fitness on a lake like this. The co likely chose to not fish and just help as needed. These videos never capture how crazy that water is, and a couple of the co's in this video likely had issues just walking around the boat in those waves.

      I did a full season as a co, and ideally the co would fish all day just as hard as the pro. However some folks show up, and are not in shape to fish as hard as the pro, sometimes the conditions make it hard to stand let alone fish if you are not acclimated to those conditions. In big waves pitching heavy glide baits with accuracy non stop is very challenging. In one sequence in this episode John's co is driving the boat in tandem with John searching with live scope to make the search more efficient.

    • @jonathanjones7424
      @jonathanjones7424 2 месяца назад +4

      For sure. Some of those guys were old and out of shape. I would have to think that a pro who gets a co who knows how to fish FFS would have a big advantage over those who don't

    • @U.P.FishPAN

      As a co on other venues our jobs to catch fish net fish navigate and do everything the same as the pro. It's his boat tho. So his rules ya know? Your basically fishing with your dad. But the stakes are higher gets frustrating when u fish behind a guy all day when u have a intuition it's hard to convince any1 when they have a plan.
