eckergus, right now Bandai has an exclusive license to do reproductions of Macross Frontier stuff. Yamato won't be able to touch the VF-25 until Bandai's license expires.
That's the original version isn't it? Those stubby rear stabilizers were the giveaway. I bought one on Ebay then realised it was not the Renewal version. Luckily the seller let me cancel the order. They are quite a bit cheaper than the Renewal, but I heard that they had a lot of issues (like the front landing gear being in the wrong place). Even my Renewal version is the floppiest of the DX Chogokins that I own. I hear that Big West and Harmony Gold have come to an agreement and that the anime series will get international releases now. I'm hoping this will make Bandai Macross collectibles more available and less expensive as well.
What scale is this model and does the cockpit open? I got the VF-1A from Yamato and it's and incredible piece of technology. From what I've heard and what I see here the Bandai and Yamato models are not only the best out there but also handle very similar technology.
This is a great video. Good lighting, great camera angles that really showcase the articulation of the toy's details. Great editing, too. Very well done. :)
I've been looking at those kits, very nice! But my model building skills need more work, as the kit looks like it would require a good bit of painting & decal work. I've seen the decal sheet and it's freighting.
gerwalk mode s very nice looking compared tot he other versions of the valkyria i think, also is this the first version they released? i bought a alto custom vf-25f super messiah.. and HOLY mackeral it is really fiddlely and fragile.... and the landing gears don't fold in!!!
I have it, but haven't had time to review it yet. It's still in the box as I've no where to display it at the moment. I'll be doing a review of in the near future.
Posibly dumb question: I am guessing this si the prebuilt version. I am thinking of getting the Super Messiah Valkyrie Alto Custom kit. Having trouble finding any videos on the kit version.
Yes this one is the toy, but I've got the Ozma custom snap together model kit. I've uploaded an unboxing video showing all the parts. It's about 1/3 built hope to upload a comparison video next week, once it completed.
The model that I have right now is really great, but for some odd reason the Gerwalk mode refuses to stand up without falling over when the feet are extended outwards. Am I doing something wrong?
Any time I'm asked I'll always say the same thing too much! But look at somewhere HobbyLink Japan (HLJ), the price of shipping varies I got this send to Ireland so it won't be the same price for you. The price is on the site.
no there not its base off of comic book artwork which is pretty kool no joke if ever do look into it i hope to see a review of the kit thnax for answerin my question
man this Plastic model is pretty difficult to transform because when i try to transform from fighter to Battroid, i am afraid that i twist the joint in wrong way and it will snaps. luckily the joint is a bit tougher. i had the Michael one
I got the lowdown from discussions on the MacrossWorld website forums. There's people there that eat, drink, and breathe anything and everything that has to do with Macross.
I've been sticking to the Gundam & built 4 1/100s and am halfway through my first MG... so far so good. The plan is to try one more MG then pick up a 1/72 kit. While cheaper then a DX they're still not Gundam cheap so don't want to mess up the build because of some simple mistake. But also want to do all the panel lines & major colours right! I'm sure 2Old4Toys is sick of me looking for advice off him! :) But that Man is a Gunpla Legend! Go to his channel and check it!
That looks VERY cool. The degree of sophistication that the VF-25 holds over previous Variable Fighter designs just jumps in your face immediately. I think I'll stick to my Yamato-brand VFs for the time being, though. Their "perfect transformation" designs have me spoiled, and the matter of Bandai's VF having to remove the shield to transform, or swap hands to hold the gun, is a bit of a turn-off.
Exactly, except that the nose brakes like the sv-51.
The position of the head and the superior part of the torso also remember to the sv-51.

I'll have to check some of them out.

If you live in Manila, you'll find plenty of VF-25 toys in Greenhills. Just look for GreatToysOnline and Wasabi Toys on the top floor of Shoppesville.
do u have to build this or does it come like this
dude were did you buy the transformable v-25?? I cant find it from my local stores here in the philippines

@Wizartar The cockpit does open. It's is shown in the instructions and is easy to do. I had more problems opening the cockpit of the Yamato YF-19.

thank's a lot for your vidéos !
can you add the super pack on the Vf -25?
Thanks, it's a Canon Vixia HF100.

@roblanco Its 1/60 scale and the cockpit doesn't open

@pspmaster510 It comes like this, the one you have to build looks much better and cheaper but requires advanced modeller skills.
I got this one at HobbyLink Japan
where did you buy this?
Hey could u send me the link to the kit cuz i tried to look 4 it on hobby link and couldnt find it
Thanks!
Way Cool!
yeah, the shield isn't to much of a big deal for me but the hand swapping was a little disappointing.
I have it down as this because its the same transformation for both the VF-25F & VF-25S
Cheers!
@firerzero yes, there's a super pack.
Oh i 4got the comic artwork is based by Ashley Wood

this is the 1/72?
This is just a transformation video. The gun is in the review vid.
While I've seen pictures of them, I don't know anything about them or even if they are based off an Anime.
This should be used for kit bashing g1 jetfire.
For this 1/60 scale they're rubber, 1/100 & 1/72 are plastic.
thank youuu 😁
Did not know that!
u wouldnt know anything bout Robot World War kits would u?
LoL, I think just about every other VF looks better in GERWALK then this one!
@krissthebliss dude... try searching on Fb Coldfire Gundam.. he sells VFs... :3
No problem XD
True
This thing is a bitch to transform if you got the model kit.
It makes me sad! :(
does anyone else find this slighlty sad?
Dude i got the 170
HobbyLink Japan
